Greetings, Laker Families-
We are so thankful for the positive turnout at the fall parent/teacher conferences last week! As you review the materials that were sent home with you from the conference, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your child’s teacher if you have questions.
You may have seen a NEW face in the office when you came to school for your child’s conference or if you had to come to school this past week as a result of your child’s illness. We are thrilled to welcome Ashley Snyder as our new school nurse! She is a former elementary school teacher that went back to school to become a nurse. Ashley is absolutely loving being back in a school setting working with students! Ashley would like to remind everyone that, with the onset of the cold weather and people spending more time indoors, we are seeing a significant increase in illnesses at school. Over the break, please take a few minutes to review the district “when to keep your child home” protocols (see attached) so that you have the information readily available when you have a child that is a bit under the weather.
Finally, here are a couple reminders for this week:
Monday is a regular late start school day.
Tuesday is an early release at 12:15 & lunches will be served.
The last day to bring food in for the food drive is Tuesday.
There is no school Wed.-Fri.
