Great Oak - Newsletter Volume #5
Home of the Wolfpack
Thank You Wolfpack Families
We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of our parents and families who joined us for Back-to-School Night. Your presence and engagement made the evening a success. It was wonderful to see so many of you connecting with teachers, learning about classroom expectations, and taking part in conversations that support your student’s success.
Your partnership is invaluable, and we truly appreciate the time you took out of your busy schedules to be with us. We look forward to continuing this collaboration throughout the year as we work together to ensure every student feels supported, challenged, and inspired.
Do You Know a Shining Star Teacher?
If you know a school hero who deserves recognition, The Patch would love to hear from you! Simply answer a few questions, and they'll take care of the rest.

eBike, Bike and Scooter Safety
With the growing number of students riding bicycles and e-bikes to school, we want to partner with families to ensure safe and responsible use. Please take a moment to review the following expectations with your student:
Helmet Use – Helmets are required by law for all riders under 18 and are essential for preventing serious injury.
Traffic Laws – Students must ride with the flow of traffic, stop at signals and stop signs, and use hand signals when turning.
Visibility – Riders should use lights, reflectors, and bright or reflective clothing, particularly during early mornings or evenings.
Safe Riding – Students should avoid riding on sidewalks, weaving between vehicles, or carrying passengers.
Bike Parking – All bicycles and e-bikes should be parked in the designated bike racks on campus and secured with a sturdy lock. You WILL NOT be able to park your bike/ebike on campus without completing the TVUSD Safe Rider Course. Campus supervisors will begin checking for bike permit stickers on September 1. See the flyer and link below.
Drop-Off Procedures
Handbook Highlights: No Lunch/Device Drop-Off
Students are prohibited from making arrangements for food deliveries during the school day (delivered food will be turned away). The TVUSD nutritional services team provides the option of breakfast and lunch to all TVUSD students. Bouquets of flowers, balloons, and other gifts will not be accepted at the front office for student delivery. We also ask that parents refrain from dropping off electronic devices/cell phones to students for pick up, as we cannot be responsible for lost or stolen items.
