Message from Nicole Pease, Principal

Happy Friday DCS families, what a surprise it was to have a snow day Monday. I was reliveved that the Superintendent made that call as Upper Jaffrey Road was a mess and I could not imagine the bus making it down the road. It has been a slightly less busy week but there is still lots going on. It has been lots of fun to have Kelly Parker here this week with Health and Wellness. We finished the One School One Book and have taken down the display in the lobby. It feels bittersweet to move on as the event was such fun! We are now looking forward to the next few weeks with a few less interruptions to our learning time.

We are excited for NHDI to be visiting the week before the April Break. The NHDI Residency is an amazing experience where the students in grades K-5 each learn a dance to perform for families. Vicki Brown's daughter Abbie Brown Hixson will be the instructor for this residency which makes it extra special! Thanks so much to the Dublin Community Foundation for supporting this! I am looking froward to seeing many of you this evening for Pizza and Movie Night. Have a great weekend, Nicole

Solar Eclipse Information

I hope you are well aware of the Solar Eclipse occurring on April 8th. This event provides a wonderful learning opportunity and we will be partnering with Dublin School Teacher Matthew Saveliev to teach our students about how this phenomenon occurs. The District has provided solar viewing glasses for all students and staff on the day of the eclipse. If for some reason you choose to keep your child home please know it will be an excused absence per House Bill 1471. We are thrilled about this educational opportunity and safety remains our top priority. Please remind your student about the importance of useing the safety glasses when observing the eclipse.

April 11th visit from Monadnock Falconry with Henry Walters

Monadnock Falconry offers the chance for nature enthusiasts of all ages to imagine life as a bird of prey! We are devoted to environmental education through first-hand experience of these amazing creatures rarely encountered up close in the wild. The hour-long program gives the opportunity to meet a Harris' Hawk and see it on the wing, while answering all your questions about their life histories and relation to their human handlers. The program is open to all, including those with disabilities.

More Information will be coming home on paper.
