I hope your summer was restful and relaxing with some time spent together as a family. The school website and mobile app are two very important resources for parents to access information frequently. The website contains information for parents to know about the school with relevant links and the mobile app allows parents to get push notifications, see the dining menu quickly, access the live feed, sports schedules and scores, important documents, emergency notifications, and more!

Our school day runs from 8:40am - 3:10pm. Students are allowed to be dropped off at 8:20 am. Unfortunately, we do not have supervision for arriving students prior to this time. The buses will not arrive until 8:30 am. The school will be locked and will only open at 8:25 am. Upon arrival, students will report directly to their Tiger Time teacher and classroom. Breakfast will be available to each student as they make their way to their Tiger Time classroom.

Our dismissal process will begin at 3:15 pm. Additionally, I have included a link to the school schedule below, which includes what a day at BMS might look like for your child.

Monday, August 31st - First Day of School (Grades 5, 6 & 7 at Biddeford Middle School)

Monday, August 31st - Open House at Biddeford Middle School (4:30 - 6:30 pm)

Friday, September 4th - No School

Monday, September 6th - No School - Labor Day

Wednesday, September 16th - Early Release at 12:50pm

Thursday, September 24th - School Pictures

It is important for all families to open and update information in Infinite Campus. Please familiarize yourself with a document titled “Infinite Campus Release Agreements”. This document contains detailed instructions for you to update your child’s demographic information and to complete the annual release agreements. We are asking you to complete these forms online. You will find your child’s schedule on this website. If you do not have a parent portal account information can be found on the above website.

Biddeford Middle School is committed to maintaining a focused learning environment by minimizing distractions and promoting students' social, emotional, and academic well-being. To support this goal, student use of personal electronic devices (PEDs) is prohibited during the school day.

Apex AfterCare is a FREE, safe, and supportive place to make friends, get active, be creative, and have fun!

The Device Protection Plan is strongly recommended for students in Grades 5-12. These students are considered to be in a “one-to-one take-home” device program. They are allowed to keep the device with them and may end up with the same device for several years.

For Grades PreK through 4, whose devices will be left in the classroom, The Device Protection Plan is not seen as necessary, UNLESS these students have to take their devices home. At that time, it would be recommended that parents consider purchasing the Device Protection.

For Problems/Issues with Devices:

Students/parents should immediately inform the student's teacher, who will then contact the Technology Department. This will keep the teacher and others at the school aware of the situation and the remedy.

Coordinating transportation needs is a major undertaking to finalize bus routes, stops, times, and the number of runs required and record them in Infinite Campus. With school starting soon, completing transportation information or alerting us of any changes is critical. For any requests made after Friday, August 22nd, we cannot guarantee that changes will be processed in time for the first day of school.

Please understand that each transportation change impacts the schedule and timing for all families on that route. To help everyone plan effectively and minimize disruptions, we need to finalize routes and schedules as soon as possible. Additionally, our school offices coordinate dismissal procedures around established bus routes, making last-minute changes particularly problematic for overall school operations.

Approximate bus stops/times will be noted in the Infinite Campus Parent Portal under the 2025/2026 School Year tab by August 22nd. Please send any transportation changes or questions to to: transportation@biddefordschools.me.

We are very excited and incredibly grateful to Staples in Biddeford for sponsoring and hosting a Stuff the Bus School Supply Drive to benefit Biddeford School Department students! The event will take place on Saturday, August 22 from 9:00 am - 7:00 pm at the Biddeford location.
