Month of the Military Child

Month of the Military Child is celebrated each April to honor and celebrate the military child for their service, commitment, and sacrifice. Wednesday, April 15 was Purple Up for Military Kids. The color purple was chosen and symbolizes all branches of the military, it is a combination of Army Green. Marine Corps scarlet, and Coast Guard, Air Force, and Navy Blue.

The week of April 13-17 students and staff participated in dress up days to acknowledge the military child. We also did a pop up where students were given stickers to show their support of the military child.

It is a time that we highlight the importance of creating safe and nurturing environments for children. As a way to promote the awareness, classes were given a cardboard kid to decorate and display.
