Next Friday is the first ever Bear Creek Gala. I am looking forward to this opportunity to support our Cubs and have a little fun too.

As Spring progresses, our calendar will get busier and busier. The Cub Hub and teacher emails will be a great resource for timely information.

A message from Bailey Albrecht

In the coming weeks, grades 3-5 will takes STAAR Interim and STAAR Stand-Alone-Field-Tests. These tests will provide students an opportunity to tackle STAAR-like questions in a STAAR-like environment, provide teachers with valuable data to inform instruction, and provide the state with information allowing the development of future, reliable STAAR questions. While these are not actual STAAR tests, we will treat them as such so students learn STAAR procedures, are more comfortable during the STAAR in April, and teachers can identify strengths and weaknesses to address in the classroom.

Before testing days, it is always important our cubs get a good night's rest, eat a wholesome breakfast, and arrive to school on time. It is also recommended students bring a healthy, no-fuss snack they can eat while testing.

Testing Dates are as follows:

STAAR Reading Interim, Grades 3-5: Tuesday, February 3rd
STAAR Reading Field Test, Grades 4-5: Friday, February 6th
STAAR Math Interim, Grades 3-5: Tuesday, February 10th

Salute Awards

Thank you for recognizing our fabulous staff with Salute Awards. We are so fortunate to have these amazing individuals serve our Cubs each day.

CAC Meeting will be held the first Monday of the month in the Bear Creek Library. All are welcome to attend. If you would like to speak or have a statement read at the CAC Meeting, please use the Citizen Communication Form.

The next meeting is Monday, February 2nd at 3:30 pm in the Community Room.
