Our Vision

At Beach Elementary School our vision is to create “A Great Place for Kids”, where all learners will learn to think critically, collaborate with others, communicate clearly and problem-solve creatively.

Our Mission

Our mission at Beach Elementary School is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for all school members, encouraging them to reach their full social, emotional, and academic potential. Appreciating that each member is unique, we strive to meet individual needs to foster a love of lifelong learning. We provide all learners with the necessary skills and opportunities to become supportive, successful members of our community, making Beach Elementary School “A Great Place for Kids.”

Our Core Values

• Greet everyone, every day. (It bonds us together daily)

• Use Ask & Answer (Partner Talk) (Collaboration + Communication)

• Have students answer in complete sentences. (Speaking + Listening)

• Get Fit & Get Smart (Brain fit and physically fit)

• Every Day is a DEAR Day. (Read to learn)

• Solve a problem today (Learn something new)

• Work Hard. Be Nice. (Perseverance with good manners)

• Say Thank You. Make it a Habit. (Important step for a civil society)

What is my child learning at school this year?

    Attendance Matters! Attendance Matters!

Absenteeism in the first month of school can predict poor attendance throughout the school year. Half the students who miss 2-4 days in September go on to miss nearly a month of school.

The most recent federal data show that in the 2020-21 school year, at least 14.7 million students nationwide were chronically absent. This means that chronic absence has almost doubled from the more than 8 million students, pre-Covid-19, who were missing so many days of school that they were academically at risk.

There are many military families who live in our community and who have children who attend our school. If you are a military family, please click HERE to let us know. We will be working on helping military families connect with each other this year and of course, we will support any military families who experience a deployment.

Volunteer with us! CCPS uses the Raptor system for volunteers and visitors to sign in and out of schools. All volunteers (anyone interacting with children for activities such as field day, field trips, VIP Day, etc.) will need to review the volunteer handbook, watch the volunteer training video, and apply to be an approved volunteer each year before volunteering in any school. Click HERE to become a volunteer!

It would be very helpful if you applied to be a volunteer as soon as possible, even now when you might have a little extra time in the summer. The application and approval process takes a little time and we have experienced issues where volunteers were not approved in time to chaperone field trips. Don't let that happen to you!

Lost & Found at Beach Elementary Lost & Found at Beach Elementary

We do have a lost and found area at BES, that seems to fill up rather quickly. Families spend a lot of money on jackets and water bottles! Please take some time to put your child's name on their jackets and water bottles so that we can return them. We do purge our lost and found at the end of each month. We donate the unclaimed items so others may use them.

    BES PTO BES PTO

Our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) has always supported Beach Elementary. An active PTO has provided several advantages for our students and staff. The PTO has formed closer school and community bonds. The parents and other citizens who have contributed time, effort, talents, and materials have a personal commitment to Beach Elementary. The fundraising efforts of the PTO have helped to improve and enrich the learning experiences for our children by supporting the cultural arts and field trip programs. Our staff has always appreciated the PTO's loyal support and we plan to continue working in this active partnership. Please join the PTO.

Join the BES PTO today to get on our email list, stay up to date on events and volunteer opportunities, and to have your thoughts and ideas heard. Membership is $10 per family, all membership fees are used to fund events including the Ag Lab mobile field trip, dances, and many more!

Join the BES PTO---it's only $10 per family!
