Welcome Back, Patriots!
Dear Powdersville Middle Families and Students,
I hope this letter finds you soaking up the last bits of summer and gearing up for another fantastic school year. On behalf of our entire team, I want to officially welcome you to the 2025–2026 school year at Powdersville Middle School where we’re all about Growing Learners. Building Leaders.
For those of you I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting, my name is Kevin Williams, and I am honored to serve as the principal of PVMS. While this is my first full year in the role, I’ve spent the last six years as an assistant principal here, and I can honestly say this school is a second home to me. Whether you’re a returning Patriot or brand new to our school family, I’m thrilled to walk alongside you this year.
We have a lot to be excited about, but one initiative in particular has our team energized: Leader in Me. This schoolwide program is designed to help students discover and develop the leader within themselves, using timeless principles found in the 7 Habits. Our students won’t just be learning state standards. They’ll be growing in confidence, responsibility, and purpose. We believe every student has unique gifts to offer, and this year, we’re going to help them shine.
Powdersville Middle has a proud tradition of excellence academically, athletically, and in the way we care for one another. That doesn’t happen by accident. It happens because of strong partnerships between our school and our families. So thank you for all you do to support us. We’ll continue to work hard to create a safe, supportive, and inspiring place where every student feels seen, valued, and challenged to grow.
The first day of school is right around the corner on Tuesday, August 5, and we couldn’t be more excited to see our students. Until then, enjoy the rest of summer and get ready to make this year one of our best yet.

Open House 🍎
Join us for Open House on July 30 and July 31 between 3:00-6:00pm. Students and parents will be able to tour the school, receive their schedule, pay instructional fees, join our PTSO, and more! Please see the dates and times below.

PTSO
One of the best ways you can get involved at PVMS is by joining our Parent Teacher Student Organization (PTSO). The PTSO plays a vital role in enriching the experience for all students and staff here at PVMS. From organizing fun events like dances and appreciation days, to helping fund classroom resources and student incentives, their work has a lasting impact. A strong PTSO helps build school spirit, supports our teachers, and strengthens the connection between home and school. These are all components of school that we value deeply at PVMS.
We know your time is valuable, and the level of involvement is completely up to you. Whether you can volunteer occasionally, help plan an event, or simply attend meetings to stay informed, your participation matters. Every voice in the PTSO helps us create the positive, inclusive environment we want for all our students.
I encourage every family to consider joining the PTSO starting at just $10 and helping us make the 2025–2026 school year our best one yet.
