PreK - 5/15 and 5/21
Dear Families,
As we wrap up another wonderful year in PreK, we are so proud of all the growth, learning, and joy our students experienced together! This year was filled with meaningful memories, exciting adventures, and opportunities to serve others.
Our students enjoyed weekly PreK Chapel, where they learned about God’s love and grew in their faith. We also had several exciting in-house field trips, including visits from the Minneapolis Fire Department, Brooklyn Park Police Department, and Sustainable Safari. These hands-on experiences brought so much excitement and learning into our classrooms!
Our PreK students also ventured out on a field trip to Playground Plaza and Camelia Rose, where they enjoyed play, community, and connection. During Pastor Appreciation Week, students wrote heartfelt letters to our pastors to thank them for all they do for our school and church community.
One exciting highlight this year was Mr. Simmons’ class winning the Chick-fil-A party for bringing in the most toys during our Toy Drive — an amazing 163 toys donated! We are so proud of the generosity shown by our students and families.
Service learning was an important part of our year. Students created Valentine’s cards, painted pumpkins, sang songs, and played Bingo with the assisted living residents at Camelia Rose. These special moments brought smiles to everyone involved and helped our students learn the joy of serving others.
Another favorite memory from this year was our Thanksgiving Parade, which brought the entire lower school out of their classrooms to watch and celebrate together. The excitement and creativity on display made it a special event for everyone! A highlight of the parade was seeing the 3- year-old class proudly showcase the “vehicles” they created themselves. Their hard work, imagination, and enthusiasm brought smiles to all who watched.
Most importantly, this year we watched our students grow tremendously in their confidence, friendships, independence, and academic skills. It has been a joy to see each child learn, explore, and shine in their own unique way.
