First, we want to celebrate this past weekendโwe had an absolutely wonderful turnout for Prom! โจ A very special THANK YOU goes out to Jess Fronabarger and our amazing Junior Class for all of their hard work planning the event and putting together such beautiful decorations. The venue looked incredible, and everyone dressed up looked so beautiful and handsome!
๐ Join us in sending a massive congratulations to our new Prom Royalty: Mr. Jayden McAllister and Miss Sydney Bush! ๐๐
As we step into this new week, it is time to shift our focus as we kick off our MAP/EOC testing. We know how hard everyone has worked to prepare for these important tests, and we want to be sure every student is here, ready, and set up for success to do well!

JH/HS EXPECTATION REMINDERS
โฐ Important Reminder: Morning Arrival Procedures for JH & HS
To ensure all students are safe and properly supervised before the school day begins, please review our morning arrival guidelines:
Head Straight Inside: Once you arrive on campus, you are considered "at school." Please do not sit or loiter in the parking lot.
Morning Entry: The front High School office doors are the only doors unlocked in the morning. They open bright and early at 7:00 AM.
Where to Wait: Upon entering, please report directly to the cafeteria (if you are eating breakfast) or the old gym. You must remain in these areas until the 7:55 AM bell rings.
Off-Limits Areas: Because we do not have staff supervision before school, students are not allowed in the hallways or classrooms prior to 7:55 AM.
Early Tutoring Exception: If you have permission to meet with a teacher for before-school tutoring, your teacher must email Ms. Mandy and Dr. Sitton in advance. If they have not been notified, you will be asked to return to the cafeteria or old gym until the 7:55 AM bell.
๐ Policy Update: Thursday "Wake Up Call" Breakfasts
We are incredibly grateful to Oak Ridge First Baptist Church for hosting the Thursday morning "Wake Up Call" breakfasts for our students. To ensure this event remains safe and a positive experience for everyone, we must remind students and parents of our parking and transportation policy.
The Policy: Students are not permitted to drive their personal vehicles to the church. All student vehicles must be parked in the High School lot upon arrival, and students are expected to walk to the church from there.
Recent Concerns: Unfortunately, on the morning of Thursday, February 12th, several students disregarded this rule. Furthermore, we received reports of driving that was inappropriate, unsafe, and disrespectful to our neighbors and the local community.
Effective Immediately:
Strict Enforcement: The rule prohibiting students from driving to the church will be strictly enforced.
Documentation: Personal student vehicles found parked at the church during Thursday breakfast times will be documented by administration.
Consequences: Any future incidents of reckless driving, disrespect to neighbors, or disregard for this parking policy will result in the immediate loss of the student's privilege to attend these community events.
We highly value our partnership with the church and deeply respect our neighbors. We expect our students to represent themselves and our school community with maturity, respect, and a commitment to safety at all times.

Nurse's Corner!
RE: reminders from the nurse
Please make sure you have all of the required information provided to the nurseโs office by the first day of school. Below is the information you will need to provide:
Updated health information. This is completed with studentโs online enrollment. Please include any new medication/diagnosis information.
Proof of immunizations that are required by the state of Missouri. Students who have already submitted this information do not need to submit it again UNLESS your student is entering kindergarten, 8th or 12th grade. All kindergarten students should receive immunizations after their 4th birthday and will need to have proof of this submitted to the nurse office. All 8th grade students should receive a TDap and meningitis immunization which should have been administered after the age of 10. All 12th grade students should receive an additional meningitis shot which should have been administered after the age of 16. Appropriate exemptions are accepted and should be submitted if applicable.
The only prescription medication that students are allowed to carry with them are emergency medications such a inhaler or Epi-pen which must meet the following requirements: prescription is on file in the nurse office, self administration form signed by both student and parent, and the medication is labeled with studentโs name.
Any medication that you wish to be administered by the school nurse requires you to fill out a Medication Request Form. Medication should only be brought to school by a parent. Studentโs are not allowed to carry medication unless authorized by a physician and nurse.
If your child has Asthma, Diabetes, Allergies or seizures an action plan must be filled out and signed. Action plans are available in the nurse office. If your child has a food allergy and requires substitution in the cafeteria, they will need to fill out a Medical Statement for Student Requiring Special Meals form.
A few reminders from the nurse for this year:
A fever is considered over 100 degrees Fahrenheit. If your student has a fever they will be sent home. Students cannot return to school until they are fever free (below 100) without the use of tylenol or ibuprofen for 24 hours.
If your child requires the use of OTC medications more than a few times, you may be asked to send in a bottle with their name written on it.
Thank you for your help and cooperation. You are welcome to email updated information as well as call with any questions you may have.

- If you take medications please make sure they are kept in the nurse's office. No students should be carrying medications on them at anytime at school!
