Colt Chorale rehearses every Wednesday from 3:10-4:00, unless otherwise specified.

Music Makers rehearses every Monday from 3:10-4:00, unless otherwise specified.

What is Music Makers?

Music Makers is an instrumental ensemble for 5th and 6th graders. Students will work together to perform popular music using xylophones and bucket drums, developing rhythm skills, teamwork, and musical confidence in a fun, engaging environment.

When do we practice?

Rehearsals will be held Mondays after school from 3:10-4:00 PM. Our first rehearsal will be on Monday, January 26th.

Where can I sign up?

There will be a sign up sheet outside of the music rooms starting on January 12th. All students will be accepted, grades and behavior permitting. No audition required.

Will we perform or go on a field trip?

Yes! Music Makers will perform at the last PTA meeting in May alongside the Colt Chorale as well as go on a field trip to Pinstack.

Do I have to behave in Music Makers?

Absolutely. At our first rehearsal, students will receive a membership contract to review and sign as a part of the ensemble. This contract will outline the behavior expectations that are set in place as part of this ensemble. Students are expected to attend rehearsals regularly and participate respectfully as part of the ensemble.

4th-6th grade have the opportunity to be in Mohawk Choir, otherwise known as Colt Chorale! We will rehearse every Wednesday from 3:15-4:15 after school, unless otherwise specified.

Welcome back everyone! I am so excited for another wonderful year making music together! This will be my ninth year at Mohawk and I absolutely love our school and getting to connect with all of you. I am excited to see familiar faces, but also excited to meet some new ones as well. I hope you are ready to work hard, have fun, and grow in the music room. Rock on!
