Music & CS pilot program

The CSinPA Music and CS pilot program wrapped up with a special performance from participating students from Burrowes Elementary (School District of Lancaster) and PA STEAM Academy. ABC News was there to capture the fun as students shared their work and learned a brand new song.

We're working closely with our partner, BrightNow! on curriculum materials aligned with the CS songs. We'll announce when the materials are available in the CSinPA toolkits, but you can get a sneak peek during sessions at the CSforAllPA Summit.

Registration is still open for the sixth annual Pennsylvania Computer Science For All (CSforAllPA) Summit, held June 14-15, 2023 at PaTTAN Harrisburg and online.

Who's invited?

EVERYONE involved in CS education, including educators, administrators, families and caregivers, partners from intermediate units, higher education, STEM institutions, out-of-school learning organizations, and others.

What's the cost?

There is NO cost to attend the Summit.

Act 48 credit is available.

In-person registration includes:

Professional Learning

7-12 Praxis Prep Pathway & Workshops

June 13 workshop: Object-oriented programming, order of magnitude, searching & sorting

Registration closes June 7. Participants may attend in-person at PaTAN Central or virtually. This stand-alone session is part of the four-part Praxis Prep Workshop series designed to help educators prepare for the 7-12 CS certification exam. Stipends are provided for substitute coverage, and travel assistance is available.

Registration for the summer cohort of the Praxis Prep Pathway will close June 30.

Leading the Charge: Act 45/PIL Program for CS Administrators

Our second cohort of Leading the Charge just wrapped up. If you are a school or district administrator who wants to learn more about how you can support CS learning in your LEA, keep an eye out for registration for Cohort 3, coming soon.

New CSinPA Educator Toolkit

Designed for educators and administrators involved in K-12 CS education, the CSinPA Educator Toolkit contains everything you loved from the previous versions of the Administrator toolkit and the Teacher toolkit, plus more, in a fresh new format.

PaTTAN - CS Educator Toolkit

The Pennsylvania Computer Science Educator Toolkit contains resources for equitable CS education for all students including students of color, historically underrepresented populations, English language learners (ELLs) and students with disabilities.

Paid opportunity: K-8 Lesson Resources

We are still adding new resources to the toolkit, and we're hiring a K-8 Lesson Resources Content Developer to lend a hand. The short-term and fully virtual position is a great way to get involved in CSinPA and make a little extra money, especially over summer break!

PAsmart Targeted Grants

2023 PAsmart targeted grant applications are expected to be released in July-August.
