Parent Empowerment Series

We want to remind you about the Parent Empowerment Series currently happening in D303. This series is designed to arm parents with practical tools to help turn school avoidance and anxiety into achievement and perseverance.

The first session took place last night (10/8). If families mention they missed it, or if you know a student is struggling with avoidance, anxiety, school refusal, etc., please let them know they can email Dr. Megan Schmitz at megan@vitallivingws.com to request the first session’s recording.

The next session will be held on:

• Tuesday, November 12 from 6–8 PM at St. Charles North High School

Thank you for continuing to partner with families to support student success and well-being!

Peer Tutoring

October 29th

• Meets in the LRC at 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
• We are also online in a Google Meet, which is good for those students who can't get a ride to school, who have a quick question, or who are absent from school.
• Students just need to put the nickname "peertutoringscn" into the code/nickname spot.
• Students do not need to sign-up ahead of time, but they are welcome to email me ahead of time if they are in search of a specific subject/class, and I can check our tutor roster to see if we have coverage for that subject/class.

You are welcome to join PT, too! If you are looking to offer some after-hours office hours, feel free to join us in the LRC Wednesday nights.
