Focus & Celebrate
The Navigator Month x Month Data Analysis Tool is intended to support leaders and teachers in the month-to-month analysis of key data points that can inform the cycle of continuous improvement within their schools. Each month, the tool provides an overview of:
- Strategic Plans and Targets
- District-Wide Indicators for Continuous Improvement
- Available Data Points - Note that key data points and reports are identified, but this list is not exhaustive of all that is available. It will be important to ensure you are monitoring any additional data points aligned to your School Improvement Plan.
- Data Points Theme
- Guiding Questions
- Reminders of Additional Key Tasks
As we near the end of the 1st semester, now is the perfect time to reflect upon your school's data thus far this year. Kathi McDonough at Providence High School
Kathi McDonough holds a Master of Education degree and started teaching Mathematics in 1990 at Independence High School. She later moved to the Raleigh area where she taught at Vance Granville Community College and Franklin County Schools. In 2010, she returned to CMS and accepted a job at Northwest School of the Arts. Having an undergraduate degree in Music Performance, she enjoyed sharing a passion for the Arts with NWSA students. From 2015-2018, she taught at a local charter school and then returned to CMS in 2018 when she joined the staff at Providence High School and absolutely loves it there! She has taught every grade level from 6th to Community College. Her favorites are upper grade high school - PreCalculus, AFM, and Discrete. When she heard their testing coordinator was retiring, she decided to apply, as testing had been an area of interest for a few years. She had no idea March 13, 2020 would be her last normal day in a classroom setting!
This is Kathi's second year as a Testing Coordinator. She says she is truly enjoying her new role and learning new things EVERY day!
