Glacier Ridge Tiger Ties
Introducing: Tiger Ties
Today marked the launch of Tiger Ties, a school-wide initiative designed to strengthen relationships within each grade level.
The Goal: To ensure every student has a solid network of peers they know and trust, as well as, an additional trusted adult in the building.
The Experience: Students met in small groups led by a Tiger Tie leader to listen to a story and engage in team-building activities.
Ask your student about the book they heard in Tiger Ties today and what activities their group worked on!
Buddy Classrooms: Cross-Grade Connections
Your student may have already mentioned their "Buddy Classroom." This opportunity pairs students from different grade levels to encourage mentorship and friendship.
Throughout the year, buddy classrooms meet to share stories, play games, and work on collaborative projects.
Save the Date: Middle School Transition Night
Fifth Grade Families: Save the Date for Transition to Middle School Night
Each middle school will host a parent/guardian-only information night on January 29 from 6-7 pm. Principals and staff will share important information, including:
Daily schedules
School practices and procedures
Course scheduling details
Save the Date: Art it Up
February 5, 2026 from 6:30pm to 8:00 pm.
Please join us for a night of art and music created by GRE students. We look forward to celebrating their hard work and creativity with you! Each student will have at least 1 artwork on display and will have contributed to our space-themed installation. Students have signed up for small group music performances throughout the event.
We need volunteers prior to the event.

Dublin City Schools Updates
Clarification Regarding Immunization Requirements
Recent updates from the CDC have led to questions about school immunization requirements. Dublin City Schools follows requirements set by the Ohio Department of Health, not CDC recommendations. At this time, Ohio has not adopted recent CDC changes related to certain vaccines. As a result, all current immunization requirements remain in place, including:
Meningococcal ACWY for students entering 7th and 12th grades, and
Hepatitis B for students across grade levels.
Families will be notified if Ohio requirements change. For more information, view our Immunization Requirements page or contact your school nurse.
Don’t miss Scioto’s production Suffs
Scioto Theatre presents Suffs, the acclaimed Broadway musical celebrating the young activists who fought for women’s right to vote. As one of only 12 schools nationwide awarded the prestigious Suffs: The Young Are at the Gate grant, Dublin Scioto will be among the first student groups to produce this powerful show as part of AP American Studies’ Immersive History Project—marking the programs’ seventh collaboration. Performances run January 23–25 at the Scioto Performing Arts Center, with tickets available at dshstd.booktix.com.
Poster Contest for K-8 Students
The 2026 Severe Weather Poster Contest is now open to Ohio students in grades K–8!
