Spelling Bee
It is time again for our annual spelling bee! All 3rd-4th graders are eligible to compete in the classroom spelling bee, which ultimately could lead them to the Bothwell spelling bee! This year is also extra special because we will have a Celina ISD Spelling Bee. Study lists will be sent home in Thursday folders this week. These words are NOT the words that will be used for the actual spelling bee. They are meant to study the spelling patterns.
The Classroom Spelling Bee will be held on Thursday, October 29th during the school day in your child's homeroom class. The top 10 students from each grade level classroom bee will advance to the Bothwell Spelling Bee, which will be held on Monday, December 7th at 8:00am in the gym. Please note the date change as there was a type in the printed letter! Only parents of the participants will be invited to attend. Thank you for helping us make the spelling bee a success!
If you have any questions regarding the Spelling Bee, feel free to reach out to Ciera Howell at cierahowell@celinaisd.com.

This is the only GT referral window for the 2026–2027 school year. No additional referrals will be accepted after the window closes.
Please note: All 2nd grade students will participate in the district’s GT universal screener and do not need to be referred.
