Safety Reminder
Parents and guardians are reminded of Board Policy 7:190 (Student Behavior), which explicitly outlines the district's strict stance on prohibited items and behavior.
No weapons or guns of any kind are allowed on school property. Additionally, toy guns, look-alike guns, BB guns, gel blasters, or water guns/blasters are not allowed on school property. This also includes pocket knives, key knives and look alike knives. Bringing any item that looks like a weapon to school is a severe violation of school rules. Any student who brings any of these items to school will face serious disciplinary consequences, which may include suspension or expulsion as well as legal action.
Please talk with your child and remind them of our strict policies related to these types of items on campus.

360 Youth Services
High School Alcohol-Prevention Campaign Kicks Off
The Power of Choice campaign, in partnership with District 204 and 203, has kicked off. The first poster and video are LIVE! Students voted for games as the design with the theme, The Move for Me. Look for Rubik Cube posters with the data statistic from the 2026 Illinois Youth Survey—which our students completed anonymously during Spring semester—82% of our classmates say a teacher or some other adult at school listens to them when they have something to say.
If you are, or know of a student who attends WVHS, NVHS, or MVHS who wants to help support this campaign, join the school influencers known as YAC (Youth Advisory Committee)! Email YAC coordinator, Ms. Wiltjer, at cwiltjer@360youthservices.org. Plan to attend the planning meeting on Tuesday, November 10, 6:30 p.m. at 360 Youth Services, Naperville. YAC is an inclusive space where local high schoolers build leadership skills and create media campaigns promoting healthy, substance-free choices. Note: service hours and work/school application recommendation letters are available for those who attend monthly and participate in activities throughout the year.
