Fisher Family Update
June 12, 2026

Dear Fisher Families,
It was a fun-filled week at Fisher School! To start the week, families enjoyed another wonderful Ice Cream Social. As always, a sincere thank you to our amazing PAC for sponsoring this Fisher tradition and helping create special memories for our students and families.
Mrs Fomenko and Mrs McDonald's 4th grade classes had a very impressive Night at the Museum! Students did an outstanding job bringing history to life by dressing as historical figures and confidently sharing their research with visitors.
Our 5th graders also participated in the district-wide Field Day at the 1A Fields. Students had a terrific time competing in activities, building new friendships, and meeting future classmates as they prepare for middle school.
Our annual Field Day was a tremendous success, with students enjoying a variety of activities throughout the day. The water games were especially popular and provided a welcome way to stay cool during the warm weather. Students also loved dancing with the DJ, getting their faces painted, and enjoying a special BBQ lunch. Students were thrilled by a surprise visit from Wally (the beloved Red Sox mascot), who stopped by to join in the fun and excitement. Best of all, the rain stayed away, allowing everyone to enjoy a fantastic day outdoors.
Have a nice weekend,
Brian

Summer Math
With summer break right around the corner, we wanted to share some ideas for how to keep those young mathematicians’ brains active throughout the summer. We have a whole section of our Family Math Site dedicated to activities and games your students can access to keep their minds engaged and math skills sharp. While we do not require students to complete any specific task, (with the exception of the rising sixth graders) we do encourage them to engage their mathematical brain for 60-90 minutes a week on activities of their choice. If you scroll to the bottom of the web page, there are also printable packets for each grade level if that is what your child enjoys.
We want our Walpole students to have a wonderful summer, but we also want them to retain the concepts and skills they developed throughout the year around math! We hope you all find time to relax and recharge over the summer while staying active and engaged in your choice of fun learning activities.
Walpole High Closed for the Summer
Due to extensive construction, renovation, and paving projects taking place at Walpole High School this summer, the entire campus will be closed to the public from June 29 through August 20.
During this period, there will be no public access to any part of the high school property, including:
- The high school buildings
- Athletic fields and grounds
- The track
- Tennis courts
For safety and security reasons, fencing will be installed along Common Street, and signage will be posted throughout the site.
Please note that the Walpole High School administrative offices will temporarily operate out of Walpole Middle School during the closure. In addition, Summer School programs will be administered at Walpole Middle School.
We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we complete these important improvements to our facilities and look forward to welcoming everyone back to campus in August.
Scenes from Fisher
This week in STEM, we celebrated the soon to be 180th day of school with one last team building activity. Groups of students were given buckets of blocks and were instructed to work together to design and create something extraordinary. Here are some of their creations.
