South Park PTO Spotlight

A BIG thank you to Courtney Cohen and Teri Arieti for planning every detail and being the creative force behind the Nickel City spring fundraiser!! It was a super FUN night for the whole family. Thank you to all the families who came!

We want to thank the Staff Appreciation Week Committee, Katie Horan, Becky Wolf, Desiree Novak and Lindsay Pearlman, once again, for all their dedication and creativity this week. Our VERY generous South Park community donated over $1,000 for raffle prizes as well as many wonderful gift sets and gift cards for the staff. Some of the donated money was used to purchase gifts and the team took the rest of the money to local businesses and asked them to match donations. They worked tirelessly to secure enough raffle prizes for every staff member to win today.

Special thanks to Sophia James Designs, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Dear Franks, Deerfield's Bakery, Hometown, Taco Vida, Il Forno, Scoops and Cookies, Tlayoco and Ross in HP for their raffle donations.

Celebrate the end of the school year with your classmates on the South Park fields after dismissal on the last day of school, Friday, June 7!

Head to Panera in Deerfield ALL DAY. on Wednesday, May 22 for the final restaurant fundraiser of the school year! Use the code FUND4U however you order! 20% of all sales benefit the South Park PTO! See the flier for details!

In support of Helping Hands day, we are seeking donations to assemble summer activity bags for Gratitude Generation. Bags will go to children in local low income families. Each bag needs 6 special activities. Donations will be accepted until May 14th. Thank you so much for supporting this important project that the students will be participating in on May 31st.

There are collection bins by the gym and in the front lobby of school. Thank you!

Donations needed:

• Paper grocery bags
• Small package of sidewalk chalk
• Jump rope
• Small bubbles or tube of bubbles
• Play doh
• Small package of crayons
• Coloring books
• Yo-yo
• Cards or small travel games

Please sign up to be a classroom representative for the 2024-2025 school year. Room reps are responsible for coordinating volunteers for class parties, communication for special events between the teacher and the class and coordinating class gifts. The PTO can't do it without you! Please reach out if you have any questions.
