We hope you've had a safe, refreshing, and enjoyable Winter Break!

It's always amazing to me how quickly a school year seems to fly by. The weeks can definitely feel long, but we're already halfway through the year! As we enter the 2nd Semester, please continue to reach out to us with any questions or concerns you may have. Note also that many students will have a new class or two this semester, as many of our electives are only a semester long. As always, students' schedules and grades can be found through Progress Book.

If you would like to have a physical copy of your student's 2nd Quarter report card, please let us know by completing the form linked here by Wednesday, January 8th.

In order to be more cost-efficient, we are transitioning to only sending home physical copies by request, especially due to parents/guardians having access to their student's grades through Progress Book. Only parents/guardians who complete the form will have a physical copy sent home.

A couple of months ago, we shared out preliminary information regarding "LinkedUp," a partnership between CNE HS and the Hamilton County Educational Service Center. This partnership provides students with opportunities to connect with outside, private sector work-based learning opportunities. More specifically, students will have access to various educational and career-related experiences based on their individual career interests through a central link application system.

LinkedUp is ready to take the next step in this process, and that includes having our students/families sign up to be part of this partnership. Please use this link to sign up your student for this opportunity!

The 2025 Winter Homecoming Dance will take place on Saturday, January 18th at CNE HS, from 7pm - 10pm. The theme is "Candyland," and look for more information for tickets coming soon!

Please note: Students will not be permitted into the dance after 8:00pm, and students will not be permitted to leave the dance before 9:00pm. Additionally, for safety and security, all students may be subject to a metal detector "wand." Additionally, no bags are permitted into the dance. Purses are permitted, and those are also subject to reasonable search.

Our Future-Ready Scheduling Fair is back again this year! This is the opportunity for you and your student to meet with teachers, administrators, and our counselor to explore course options (AND MORE!) for the 2025-2026 school year! You do not want to miss it!

The Future-Ready Fair will take place from 4:30pm - 7:30pm on Thursday, February 20th at CNE High School! More information to come!

The Xavier University College of Business is launching their D'Artagnan Business Alliance, a new initiative connecting high school students with valuable business experiences and the Xavier academic community.

One part of this alliance is the D'Artagnan Summer Academy, where students can earn college credit through 1 or 2 week on-campus immersive experiences. If your student is interested in this unique opportunity, please see this link to apply. Note that we are working with Xavier to possibly provide transportation for students for this opportunity!

Hamilton County ESC is hosting its annual College Credit Plus (CCP) info night on January 22nd, from 6pm - 7:30pm. This is an online/virtual opportunity to learn a little more about CCP, as well as connect with representatives from various local colleges. Click here for more information and to register.

CNE HS will still hold our CCP Info night at our Future Ready Scheduling Fair, and all parents/guardians/students who plan on taking CCP classes in 2025-2026 should plan on attending that meeting.
