Dear Lincoln Families,

We are working hard this year to improve attendance and tardies and make coming to school every day fun and exciting for our students!

🎯 Our school-wide goal is to have at least 95% of our students at school each day! We need everyone’s help to reach our goal!

We have some fun attendance incentives happening at Lincoln:

🐶 Bones & Max: Each week, the classes with the highest attendance get to have one of our stuffed Bulldogs, Bones or Max, stay in their classroom for the week!

🎟️ Golden Tickets: Classes can earn Golden Tickets for meeting their weekly attendance goal.

🎉 Surprise Attendance Days: You never know when we might have a Surprise Attendance Day! Students who are at school that day can earn a special surprise or reward.

Every day at school matters, and being on time matters too! Thank you for helping your child arrive at school each day and be ready to learn.

Dental Smile Squad will be visiting Lincoln on October 22nd & 23rd to provide FREE dental cleanings for our students!

This is a great opportunity for students who need a new dental exam, especially our Kindergarten and 2nd Grade students, who are required to have an updated dental exam.

📄 Forms were sent home with students. If you need an additional form, please call the school office or stop by. I have also attached them below! If you would like your child to participate, please make sure the form is completely filled out and returned to school no later than October 15th.

Please help us keep our morning drop-off line moving safely and efficiently so we can get all of our Bulldogs into the building by 8:40 AM!

There is no need to get out of your car—we have staff members outside ready to open car doors and help students out. Please pull all the way forward when there are no cars in front of you. Do not stop at Door 14 to unload if there is space to continue pulling forward.

We know you love watching your child walk safely into the building (and we love that! 💙), but waiting in the drop-off lane can quickly back up the line. Once your child is safely out of the car, please continue moving so we can welcome the next Bulldog.

Picture Retake Day is October 15th from 9-11 AM. If your child needs a retake or they were absent on picture day!! They will take their picture on Oct. 15th!

Keep an eye out for an email from Visual Image Photography when photos are ready. A student ID number may be required to access your child’s pictures, and all orders will be shipped directly to your home.

Please be sure to turn in the following documents by September 26, 2025:

• Illinois Health Physical (Kindergarten and transfer students)
• Please make sure the health portion of the physical is signed and dated by the parent/guardian.
• Eye Exam (Kindergarten and transfer students)

• Dental Exam (Kindergarten, 2nd grade, and transfer students)

Students without proper health forms turned in by September 18, 2025, will be excluded from school.

1. All students can get free breakfast and lunch again this year—no application needed to receive meals.

2. Even though meals are free for everyone, we still ask families to complete the Free/Reduced Lunch application. Your application helps us report accurate data, and qualifying families may be eligible for additional support and services.

• Our district uses ParentSquare to share important updates by email, text, and app notifications. This is how you'll receive emergency alerts, event info, and key messages from your child’s school. Be sure to sign up and stay in the loop! If you already have the app and received notifications from the last school year no action is required.
