Eagle Way Winners

Congratulations to our October Eagle Way Winners! These students are being recognized for Being the Best Version of Themselves! In November, the Eagle Way behavior focus is Respect Yourself and Others! Please talk with your child about ways they can show respect everywhere he/she goes! It's the Eagle Way!

Some students missed the group picture, that is why they have an individual picture.

Kindergarten News

October was a busy and exciting month in Kindergarten! We learned so much, explored new ideas, and made wonderful memories together. Here are some of the highlights from our month:

Fire Prevention Week
We kicked off October by learning all about fire safety! Firefighters from Pemberville visited our school to teach us how to stay safe in case of a fire. The children loved seeing the fire truck up close, spraying the hoses, and watching the firefighters put on their gear. We practiced important safety tips—like “Stop, Drop, and Roll” and how to call 911 in an emergency.

Pumpkin Patch Field Trip
Our trip to the pumpkin patch was a perfect fall adventure! Students explored how pumpkins grow, learned about the parts of a plant, and even got to pick out their very own pumpkin to take home. We talked about what plants need to grow and compared pumpkins of different sizes, shapes, and colors. It was a wonderful hands-on science experience!

Halloween Celebration
We ended the month with some spooky fun! Our Halloween celebration was full of creativity and excitement. The children enjoyed showing off their costumes during the Parade, trick or treating from members of the community, playing Halloween carnival games, and participating in fun literacy and math activities centered around the spooky season. Thank you to all the families who sent in treats and helped make the day special!

Student Leadership and Kindness Club

The Student Leadership and Kindness Club has been busy this month! This group, made up of 4th and 5th graders (lovingly referred to as The SLAKCers), strives to be leaders, be kind and to make a difference. In October, The Club led Unity Day and Red Ribbon Week activities for the elementary.

End of Day Change of Plans

We really need your support in getting consistent end of the day plans for your child. We know we have altered some busing routes that have created issues and for that, we apologize.

What I am talking about is more of the last minute calls for changes to or from the bus/car that are occurring. We are working very hard to get everyone's child, all 670 plus students, where you want them, but consistency is the key.

Our top priority is getting everyone where they belong, but we can only do that with your support. Please call by 1:30 with any change of plans. Please limit last minute calls to emergencies.

Picture Day

Wednesday, Nov. 12th, is our Picture Day!! If your child did not have their picture taken in August, plan on having their picture taken Wednesday.

Change in Temperature

With the change of temperature, please make sure to dress your child for the weather. We will be going outside for recess as much as possible. If the "real feel" is 20 or above and it isn't icy, we will try to go outside for recess.
