Dear Windsong Ranch Elementary Families,

Our first full week of school is complete! It’s been wonderful to see students diving into learning, exploring different activities, and becoming familiar with our daily routines.

This week also marked the start of Beginning-of-Year MAP testing, which will continue into next week. Students will take the MAP assessment three times during the school year. MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) is an adaptive online test that gives teachers valuable insight into student growth in reading, language usage, math, and science. Information was emailed to the parent listed as family 1 with directions on how to access your child's assessment results in Edugence. If you are not able to login, please reach out to technologyhomehelp@prosper-isd.net.

Reminder for Walker Pick-Up: Walker dismissal is only for students who are walking home. Families picking up by car must use the A–L or M–Z car line. Please do not park along Copper Canyon or Redstem during dismissal, as this creates blind spots, blocks neighborhood driveways and prevents cars from going in both directions on those streets. We are working with the City of Prosper to provide additional support during dismissal to ensure our students are safe. Thank you for your part in helping us keep dismissal safe and efficient for all students.

Enjoy your weekend, we’ll see you Monday morning!

Together we Prosper,

Michelle Qualls

Named by HEB’s Excellence in Education Awards as the Best Large District in the State of Texas, Prosper ISD has an established 67-year history that is grounded in the humble roots of a farming community, now soaring to the fastest growing school district in Texas, due in no small part to the pursuit of excellence in the arts, academics and athletics. Our students and staff are routinely recognized on the local, state, and national levels for outstanding achievements, and our teachers are highly qualified experts who bring out the best in every student.

ABOUT PROSPER ISD
