Announcements and Reminders for the RBHS Class of 2026
Senior Fund Lesson
On Monday, December 8th, and Tuesday, December 9th, counselors will present the Fund Lesson with important financial aid and scholarship information in Senior English classes.
Students who do not have an in-seat Senior English class at Rock Bridge this semester should email their counselor to find a presentation to attend during their AUT or other free block. A copy of the presentation will also be on the counseling Seniors website after Dec. 9th.
Financial Aid Presentation for Senior Parents
On Tuesday, December 9, 2025, we will be hosting a Senior Parent Financial Aid Presentation in the RBHS Media Center at 6:00 PM.
This presentation will be led by Colleen Brown from Columbia College and will provide general information about financial aid and the FAFSA application process.
If you would like to attend the Financial Aid & FAFSA presentation, please complete the RSVP form below so we can prepare adequate seating and materials.
SCHOLARHIPS!
It’s not too early to start applying for scholarships! We receive scholarship information regularly and post it on our Scholarship Opportunities webpage. We recommend that you bookmark this site and check it frequently for the most up-to-date information!
FAFSA Frenzy
The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is the gateway to several financial aid opportunities including scholarships, so every student planning to attend a university, 2-year college, or career & technical school in the fall of 2026 should complete the FAFSA!
The FAFSA Frenzy is a great opportunity for Senior families to get help with the FAFSA from financial aid experts. This is an open house style event, so drop by anytime between 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
WHAT TO BRING: If you are a dependent student, you’ll need this information for you and your parents.
- Student and parent FSA ID information
- Parent and student social security numbers
- A list of schools to which you have applied, been accepted, or are interested in attending
To learn more about the FAFSA, visit the Federal Student Aid website at https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa.
COUNSELING OFFICE CLOSED
Students needing transcripts or letters of recommendation for January 1st deadlines must submit those requests before December 5th, as these requests may take up to 2 weeks to process.
No transcript or recommendation requests will be processed over Winter Break.
College Rep and Recruiter Visits
We already have several schools/recruiters scheduled for visits this fall! You can see which representatives are coming to Rock Bridge in Scoir or in the InfoBruin. You can also register for visits using the links in Scoir – this way, you’ll get meeting reminders, and the representatives will know how many people to expect.
**We have colleges scheduling visits frequently throughout the semester, so be sure to check Scoir or the InfoBruin for a current list of schools and recruiters coming to Rock Bridge!
If you're applying through Common App, you need to read this!
This is great news for our Seniors as it will help streamline the application process. Scoir is the platform we already use for sending transcripts, so now everything will happen in one place! Yay! :)
