LHS Bi-WeeklyNewsletterMay 18, 2026

LHS Cowboys Students and Families,

As we close out another incredible school year, we want to thank our students, families, and staff for your partnership, support, and school spirit. The final weeks are filled with celebrations, important deadlines, and memorable milestones—please review the updates below carefully.

Senior Information & Graduation Reminders

Class of 2026 – Student Google Account Access Ends May 28, 2026

Attention seniors and families: all LVJUSD student Google accounts for the Class of 2026 will be deleted after graduation.

Students should transfer any files they wish to keep to a personal Gmail account before May 28, 2026 using Google Takeout Transfer:
https://takeout.google.com/transfer

Detailed instructions can be found here:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1WQFVje1yjWPfhYnyYsdHGp-GvDmAlvItlR5dNvlRQjk/edit

Even if students are unsure whether they will need their school files in the future, we strongly encourage them to transfer their work now. Once accounts are deleted, access cannot be restored. Please note that the transfer process can take up to one week to complete.

Final Graduation Clearance

Seniors recently received the Final Graduation Clearance document in their school email accounts. This document contains important information regarding graduation requirements as well as post-high school plans.

Please remind your student to complete this document prior to graduation. This must be completed by the student—not a parent/guardian.

In addition, all school-issued materials must be returned to the library by the end of the day on Thursday, May 28, including:

  • Chromebook
  • Charger
  • Textbooks

Students with unreturned materials or outstanding fines for lost/damaged items will not receive their diploma until those obligations are cleared.

Congratulations to the Class of 2026 and their families as this exciting milestone approaches!

Senior Disney Trip

The Senior Disney Trip will take place May 20–21.

Students should report to the gym at 1:30 AM on Wednesday, May 20 (immediately after midnight on Tuesday the night of May 19). The group is expected to return on Wednesday, May 21 at approximately 9:00 AM.

A detailed informational email has already been sent to participating students and families with trip expectations and important reminders.

Please note: Parents do not need to call in student absences for this trip. Participating students have already been excused for May 20 and May 21.

Senior Breakfast Donations Needed

We are still seeking monetary donations to help support our Senior Breakfast celebration for the Class of 2026.

Contributions will help provide food, drinks, and a memorable sendoff for our graduating seniors. Any amount is sincerely appreciated.

Thank you for helping us make this celebration special!

Finals Week Reminder

As we enter finals week, we ask families to help minimize disruptions during testing periods.

If your student must leave campus early during finals, please make every effort to schedule pickups outside of final exam periods whenever possible. Interruptions during testing can be disruptive for both students and staff. To help maintain a focused testing environment, office staff is not permitted to call classrooms for student checkouts until the final ten minutes of the class period. Please refer to the Finals Bell Schedule for testing times.

Thank you for your cooperation and support as we work to provide students with the best possible testing environment.

Athletics Highlights

Our student-athletes continue to make school history!

  • Boys Volleyball captured the first EBAL title in school history, defeating Dublin High School in an exciting 3–2 league championship victory.
  • Boys Lacrosse won its first-round NCS playoff game against Clayton Valley 7–6 in a thrilling triple-overtime battle and advances to face Terra Linda in the next round.
  • Swim and Track & Field will both compete in their league championship meets this week. Swim Championships will be held at Dougherty Valley, and Track Championships will take place at Amador Valley High School.
  • Softball wrapped up an incredible regular season with a 23–1 overall record and a perfect 13–0 league record, including an impressive 11–1 victory over Granada in five innings to close league play. The team enters the EBAL Championships as the #1 seed.

Congratulations to all of our student-athletes and coaches on an outstanding spring season!
