Start with Hello Week Start with Hello Week

Next week, September 15-19, is Start with Hello Week!

Start with Hello Week is a program from Sandy Hook Promise, they also do Say Something and the Say Something app. It is a week that is meant to "Build a strong and resilient school community. Empower students to embrace empathy and reject bullying and social isolation." The whole idea behind the week is that you can do all that by starting with a hello.

Our Morning Meetings will be all about Start with Hello this week, which is awesome!

Here at Stories Creek, we will have a theme for each day.

Monday is "My Name is... Monday" and everyone, staff and students, will wear name tags.

Tuesday is "Talk Tuesday" where students are encouraged to talk to someone they do not know.

Wednesday is "Wear Green Wednesday" so everyone should make sure to wear green because it is both the color of Start with Hello week and of course also our Gator Green!

Thursday is "Thank You Thursday" students are encouraged to say thank you to as many people as possible.

Friday is "Feel Good Friday" where everyone should make sure to do what they can to help everyone feel good and included

Car riders will dismiss at 3pm daily. For the safety of our staff and students, please follow the directions of any staff members helping with car line.

Important Reminders:

-Please remain in your vehicles (with the exception of students who need mobility assistance).

-Please follow the directions of staff members. To keep traffic out of Chub Lake Rd, they will be directing you to move up to specific cones before allowing your child to get in.

-Staff will open the car door for students to enter the vehicle, but they will not be responsible for buckling the student in.

We ask for your patience as the beginning of school year car line runs a little slowly at first. It will move faster once everyone is more familiar with the processes.
