Holiday Giving
In the spirit of the holidays, Fisher School is offering 2 ways to help local families during the holiday season. We are looking for 15 complete holiday meals to support families in need. Each meal should provide dinner for 10 people (details below). In addition, and in lieu of gifts this year, we are asking for $100 gift cards to either Stop and Shop or the Big Y to support the families.
Battle of the Book Launch
Battle of the Books is back at Fisher School for all students in grades 3, 4, and 5! We had an amazing parade on Wednesday afternoon announcing the 25 books that will be on the Battle list. Students then gathered with their teammates and met their staff member coaches for the first time. They have a list of 25 books and have pledged to read at least 3 books before the Battle Tournament in February. Copies of the books are available at Fisher. Everyone is encouraged to read at school and home and to read as many of the books as possible. Once a book is completed, each student will write a brief summary, and return their book slip, and we will add a sticker to the team’s chart. The more you read, the more you know, and the more you can help the team win the Battle on February 4!
Fisher School's Annual Holiday Singalong
Our Annual Fisher School Holiday Singalong is fast approaching!
Please fill out this survey so that I may be sure to include any special DECEMBER holiday/event that your family celebrates, so that we may ALL be included in this singalong:
Fisher's Holiday Singalong Survey
Fisher School invites you to our old-fashioned, Holiday Singalong, that we may ALL raise our voices together, letting EVERYONE in your family experience the joy of having THE ENTIRE FAMILY sing together,…and make memories that will last a lifetime!
Wednesday, December 17th, 2025
6:00-6:45pm and 7:15-8:00pm
INSTRUCTIONS:
Bring a blanket big enough to seat your family, like at a summer picnic. Stake your spot in the auditorium!
Your blanket is for YOUR family (and grandparents, cousins, older and younger siblings,...)
This isn’t a “run around with your friends” night, but rather a night to snuggle up as a family - among the larger “Fisher family” - and sing a variety of songs that are celebrated by our families here in our school. Hearing parents, grandparents, cousins and siblings sing all together brings our ENTIRE Fisher family together and gives us memories that will last a lifetime!
(PARENTS: Choose which timeslot works best for your family. Those with toddlers may wish to come to the first one in order to get their children to bed. But…it’s a “WHATEVER WORKS BEST FOR YOUR FAMILY” laidback event! I can’t wait to see you!)
Musically,
Mr. Holmes
Fisher’s Finest Rally Against Cancer - November 2025
We are excited to be kicking off our Green Monster Wall of Honor this week! The new wall is up, baseballs have been ordered, and the forms will be going home with your student, if they haven’t already. This is always one of the most impactful fundraisers we do for Rally. It has meant so much to me to see students, parents, staff members, and even Red Sox players take the time to look at and think about how what we have done in the 19 years we’ve participated in Rally Against Cancer has impacted cancer research and treatments for patients at Dana-Farber and the Jimmy Fund Clinic. This will be my final year as Fisher’s FInest’s Rally coach, and it is honestly one of the things I am proudest of having been a part of during my 22 years here at Fisher School.
If you wish to donate to our Green Monster Wall, you may fill out the form and send it back into school to my attention, with your donation. No amount is too small. Every penny makes a huge difference to those working at and being treated at Dana-Farber. You may request as many baseballs as you would like. Our goal is to fill that Green Monster and remember, honor, and celebrate our loved ones.
Also available are Fisher School Excuse Note Pads. These were created by my daughter (proud Mom here!) and donated to us to help raise funds for Fisher’s FInest. They are only $5 each, all of which goes to our Rally. If you want to order one, please click here: Student Excuse Notepad Order and complete the form. As soon as I receive your payment, I’ll send the notepad(s) home with your student.
Our My Grandma’s Coffee Cake fundraiser will take place after we return from winter break. There might even be some different flavors from when we’ve held it in the spring! Change for a Cure will also begin shortly. We’re just making sure we have enough collection bottles for each class!!! As always, thank you all so much for your continued support of Fisher’s Finest and our Rally Against Cancer!
