On Friday, September 26, Learwood will host a Student Council–sponsored lunchtime tailgate! For $2, students can “buy out” of lunch to eat outside, enjoy tailgate snacks, listen to music, and play games. That day’s school lunch will be tailgate-themed. Students can grab it through the cafeteria like usual, or they’re welcome to pack their own lunch instead

We’re looking for parent support with set-up, clean-up, supervision, snacks, and tailgate/yard games (cornhole, ladder golf, etc.). All proceeds benefit our Souper Bowl fundraiser against Avon to fight hunger.

On September 24th, we will have our first Early Release Day for our students. Learwood will let out at 11:35 AM. Students will be asked on Monday, September 22nd, if they are purchasing a lunch for Thursday, September 24th Below is the lunch menu:

Take time to connect with your child through conversation! As students move into their important middle school years, communication is key. Join us on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at 7:15 AM in Room 132 for a morning presentation, conversation, coffee, and donuts. We look forward to seeing you there! Learn about your child and have them learn about YOU! We cover a variety of topics each month, from concepts such as Dedication to the use of AI with Integrity.

All school fees follow your student from grade to grade, and all attempts must be made to pay the balance during the current school year. School fees are due by October 1st, and failure to be up to date on school fees will restrict students from participating in extracurricular activities and trips, such as the Washington DC Trip, athletics, clubs, etc. Thank you to those who have sent in payments for your child's school fees. Payment Option 1: Online Payment: Payments may be made ONLINE at www.payschoolscentral.com Please log on, set up your account if you have not already done so and pay online with VISA, MasterCard or Discover. You will need your student's ID to set up account.

There is 4.5% Convenience Fee for all credit card transactions or a Flat Fee of $1.75 for all ACH (Electronic Check) transactions.

Payment Option 2: Payment Drop off/ Mail in Payment. Please place check or money order payable to "Learwood Middle School" in an envelope clearly marked with student's name and STUDENT FEES on the front and drop it off in main office.

Please note, if your student's name is different than the person signing check, please put student's full name on the memo line of check. Fees may be mailed to Learwood Middle School, 340 Lear Rd., Avon Lake, OH 44012 Attn: Brenna Rohlke.

Please email Brenna.Salukombo@alcsoh.org with questions or concerns if circumstances prevent payment from being made. If your check is returned for non-sufficient funds (NSF), your checking account will be debited electronically for both the face amount and returned check fees.
