It has been official for several weeks now, but we want to formally announce and congratulate our Project 351 Ambassador Lola Scavone. A Project 351 8th Grade Ambassador is a student selected for their leadership, service mindset, and commitment to making a positive impact in their school and community. Ambassadors represent their town or city and work with peers across Massachusetts to lead service projects and promote kindness, inclusion, and civic engagement. Throughout the year, they participate in leadership training and collaborate on initiatives that address real community needs. Their role is to lead by example and inspire others to serve. On January 17, 2026, Project 351’s Launch Day in Boston will bring together the new Class of 8th-grade Ambassadors for an inspiring kick-off to their year of service, honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King with celebration, community building, and meaningful service activities across the city. WRHS Staff are excited to announce that Friday, January 9, 2026, the night we raise the banner in the WRHS Gym for our State Champion Girls’ Basketball Team, will also be Middle School Night!

We want to pack the stands for this event and create an unforgettable atmosphere that celebrates MOUNTAINEER PRIDE. We’re encouraging every student to come to the game dressed in green and white. In addition we have agreed that any middle school student who comes with a paid adult will receive free admission to the game!

We want to fill the gym for this historic event, celebrate our championship and get the building rocking!!

The Glenwood PTO is hosting a sensory friendly movie at the Gardner Cinemas on Saturday, January 3rd. The link to the event is below. Could you please share with your school community? It is open to all. It is not a fundraiser for Glenwood as we are selling tickets at cost for $9 with a snackpack. We want to give the option for district families to attend. The movie is the new Spongebob movie. Thanks!
