Hello friends!

I hope this communication finds you happy and healthy! Here at CME, we have been enjoying some beautiful outside weather for recess. This Friday, our staff will be engaging in Professional Development and then on Monday, everyone gets the day off! We are getting down to the wire…some students just told me there are 24 days of school left. How did this year just fly by?

CME Garden Refresh

Girl Scout Troop 68088 is bringing the Copper Mesa garden back to life and we'd love your help! Please join us for one (or both!) of our upcoming volunteer days as we clear out the overgrown garden and get it ready to refurbish, replant and update the space. Help us take the first step in creating an outdoor learning area that students and teachers will enjoy for years to come. Stay for as little or as long as you are able - families are welcome!

Day 1 (5/2): Garden Clean-Up

1 - 5 PM

Help us pull weeds, move rocks, and break down old structures.

Day 2 (5/9): Mulch Spreading

1 - 5 PM

The Highlands Ranch Metro District is donating a truck load full of mulch and we need help spreading it around the garden.

Beginning April 15, you can submit nominations once per day throughout the nomination round, which is through May 15.

Come check out the Copper Mesa Lost and Found Boutique! We have some really great coats that need to find their way home! All items will be donated at the end of the year on 5/28/26!

GIRLS SUMMER BASKETBALL CAMP -

Assistant Coaches for Highlands Ranch High School Girls Basketball are going to be hosting a camp June 15-17 this Summer, for girls in grades 3rd-8th. Please see the flyer for more details and registration information!

KINDIE REGISTRATION -

Will your child be 5 by October 1, 2026? Begin the Kindergarten Admissions process today and take the first step toward an exciting year of learning and growth!

DCSD preschool students enrolled before January 1, 2026, will be automatically registered for kindergarten at their neighborhood elementary school—no extra steps needed.
