Dear PCK Families,

As we head into Fall Break, I want to take a moment to wish everyone a restful and well-deserved pause. This first stretch of the school year has been filled with energy, connection, and community spirit, thanks to each of you!

Our Fund Run and Fall Festival were incredible celebrations of PCK pride and teamwork. These events not only raise important funds but also strengthen the sense of joy and belonging that makes PCK special. A heartfelt thank-you goes to the many volunteers from the Foundation and PTO who worked behind the scenes to make both events such a success. Your time and dedication are deeply appreciated.

Our Parent-Teacher Conferences also reflect the strong partnership we share between home and school. Thank you for taking the time to meet with teachers, celebrate progress, and collaborate in supporting each child’s growth. These conversations are vital in ensuring every student continues to thrive.

We are so grateful for your ongoing involvement and support of our school community. Enjoy a relaxing Fall Break filled with rest, family and friends. We look forward to welcoming everyone back, refreshed and ready for all that’s ahead.

Warm regards,
Dr. Leanne Weyman

Last week PCK had the honor of hosting a special guest, Parker's Mayor, Joshua Rivero. During his visit, Mayor Rivero toured the school and spent time with our youngest learners, sharing the importance of community involvement.

He read stories that highlighted the value of being active and engaged members of the community, and spoke to students about local service heroes like emergency responders. We were honored to host Mayor Rivero, and give our students the opportunity to connect with members of the local community.

We were thrilled to welcome so many new faces at our second meeting of the year yesterday! It’s always encouraging to see our community engage.

This meeting focused on the important topic of communication, a key element in building strong relationships between parents, staff, and the school community.

Our goal is to ensure that everyone feels empowered to communicate openly and respectfully when challenges or concerns arise. Dr. Weyman reminded everyone in attendance that PCK values open, respectful, and effective communication between families and staff. To support this across our entire community, the school follows a clearly outlined communication process, as detailed in the school handbook.

This four-step process is designed to guide families and staff through resolving issues, starting from the initial concern through to a final resolution, while maintaining a respectful and constructive approach throughout.

Dr. Weyman emphasized that while challenges may occasionally arise, following this process helps ensure that all concerns are addressed in a thoughtful and appropriate manner.

To view the full policy, please click the button below.

The next SAC Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, November 12 at 8:15 a.m. in the MS Commons.

This week, we're shining the spotlight on the many volunteer opportunities still available for PCK families. There are plenty of ways to get involved and make a meaningful impact in our school community!

As a reminder, each family agrees to contribute 20 volunteer hours by July 1 as part of PCK’s charter commitment. Right now, we’re especially in need of volunteers for our upcoming Hearing and Vision Screenings.

We’re also looking for helping hands in our K–1 art, tech, and library classes. These are fun and rewarding ways to support our youngest learners.

You can find all available opportunities on the Volunteer page of the PCK website, or by clicking the buttons below.

Thank you for sharing your time and talents with PCK. Your involvement plays a vital role in our students’ success!
