💙 Sarah and Julia have done amazing work scheduling an author visit for the month of March. They have worked diligently on the schedule for the author visit day (March 10th) and they are working to generate a fun way to show an interest in reading and further develop our students' love for reading.
💛 This is a busy month so keep it simple. Recruit a parent volunteer to complete your door decoration or simply add something to the design you have. Consider having students create a portion of your door during one of their rounds or give yourself a break and schedule a class project time. Do what brings joy to your heart and lessens your stress.
💙 In the staff lounge, you will find a daily cleaning log by the window. This log is a way to let us know if there is anything in your room, the bathroom, or the hallways that did not get completed with our daily/evening cleaning. This log is checked every day by our custodial staff and will help us ensure that requests are recorded and heard.
💛 Please make sure that each day classroom floors are picked up and chairs are on top of the desks to make nightly cleaning easier. If you come in and your chairs are down, that means the desks have been cleaned.
💙 Please help keep our hallways clean--talk to students about keeping items in their lockers and shutting locker doors. If jackets are wet, hanging them on the corner of the locker is a nice way to help them dry.
💛 Valentine's Day is Tuesday. Feel free to wear jeans with your special Valentine's Day wear!
💙Thank you to Renee for presenting to the board Monday evening regarding student-led conferences. Many of you are trying this out for this round of conferences. We are sure to find what works, what doesn't, and what questions we need to be answered.
