November 2025
Principal's Message
It has been great to see students and staff settling back into school routines and reconnecting with one another. The energy in the building reminds us just how special our school community is — filled with kindness, laughter, and learning.
As we move into November, our focus turns to the Sacred Teaching of Courage — the strength to do what’s right, even when it’s hard. This value feels especially meaningful as we continue to support one another and build a sense of belonging and care in all that we do.
With our first parent-teacher interviews approaching, it’s also a great time to celebrate growth, effort, and perseverance. Thank you, as always, for your continued partnership and the many ways you show support for our school.

Alien In-Line Skating
We are excited to welcome back Alien In-Line skating! Alien In-Line will be in our school next week from November 3-6!
We need volunteers to help tie skates and ensure the kids can enjoy playing and skating as long as possible.
Please reach out to your child(ren's) teachers if you have your Volunteer Paperwork submitted and are able to come and help us out. See the schedule below for our class times next week.
If you can help but don't have current paperwork submitted, come on down and sign your life away!

7 Sacred Teachings – Character Education at Eckville Elementary
This year, we are excited to focus on the 7 Sacred Teachings as part of our character education. Each month, we will highlight one teaching to help guide how we treat ourselves, each other, and the world around us.
In November, our focus will be on Courage. Students will hear weekly messages during morning announcements, explore stories in the library, and reflect on courage through classroom activities. Courage — the strength to do what is right, even when it’s hard. Courage means facing challenges with confidence, speaking up with kindness, and believing in ourselves and others.
To help bring these teachings to life, we’ve introduced a new “Champion of the Sacred Teaching” awards which will be presented each month to students who model the teaching in their daily lives.
This work has been supported by our district, with staff taking part in professional development at the start of the year alongside colleagues from Eckville Jr/Sr High. Together, we are committed to weaving these teachings into our school culture in meaningful and lasting ways.
School Visitors - Check In at Main Office
Just a reminder to everyone that all school visitors need to check in at the main office. When students are being picked up early, please come to the office and let us know, then we can call or walk down to the classroom. This helps limit classroom disruptions and lets us ensure we know who are always in the building as visitors, in case of emergency.
Student Medications
Please ensure all student medications are accompanied by a district required parent consent form. This includes everything from inhalers and epi-pens to tylenol, antibiotics and advil. The consent forms are available at the office and are required for any and all student medications in the school.
