Bluff Monthly Update--September

Dear Bluff families,

We are off to a great start! Thank you for getting your child(ren) to school each day so that we can all learn together. We have a new reading curriculum this year and I'm hoping that they will come home and talk about that. Each unit has a Caregiver letter to let you know what they are learning in reading...please watch for those! As always, reach out if you have any questions or concerns!

Our first parent night is September 15 in the Bluff Commons starting at 5:30. We are excited to welcome you to Bluff! Please join us at 5:15 to get dinner. We will start around 5:30. If you would like to bring your kids because you don't have anyone to watch them, please bring them and we will have childcare available. We will send the kids off with some high school students at 5:30 and have some good adult time after that. We commit to being done by 6:30! Hope to see you there!

We are off to a great start at arrival and dismissal! Below are a few reminders....

ARRIVAL tips:

• Doors open at 7:15.
• Please do not get out of your car in the line. If you need to get out, please park.
• Students must be in the breakfast line by 7:35 or they will not be able to eat. We need to get students to class. Please make sure you get them in the parking lot with enough time to get in school!

DISMISSAL tips:

• Please keep the line moving and pull up.
• All students MUST cross at the crosswalk. Please do not call them across to you at the median.
• Parents should wait at the median and we will get students safely to you.
• Kindergarten will start leaving the building at 2:35. The rest of the students will dismiss at 2:45.

Each week, I will announce which grade level had the best attendance! The students will know if their grade level had the highest number. I will also update families on Facebook! Our first week of school was AWESOME!! A total attendance of 97.1%! Here is the breakdown by grade!
