TEACHER NOTES
- SAT and Behavior PLC: It's never too late to schedule a slot for Behavior PLC! For SAT however, in order to have a large enough timeframe to implement any intervention come back to analyze results and plan forward, I'd like to think of April 1st as a soft deadline. Exceptions can always come up. Let me know if you have any questions.
- Need a Break?: Just a standing reminder to give the office a call when you need a 5-10 minute break for a bathroom break, water break, make a phone call, hide in a closet, etc. No questions asked!
GOOD BYE AND HELLO
BPS MAKES SOME MOVES WITH TECH COORDINATORS
After serving Highland Acres and Roosevelt for the past four years, Christina Phipps will be transitioning to a new role in order to provide more of her excellent service to Horizon Middle School. We are so thankful for her great work, her positive spirit, and her consistent follow-through. Christina, you will be missed!
Replacing Christina will be Bennet Vatnsdal. Bennet previously worked at the middle school level, and will transition to serve at the elementary level. We look forward to welcoming him into our two great school communities!
STAFF NOTES
- BPS Staff Appreciation Banquet: I'll be honest, I don't think I attended this event my first several years in the district. Now, I make sure not to miss it! Please consider joining your colleagues for a great night to socialize, have a good meal, and recognize the amazing work of so many of our BPS staff. Details/Ticket ordering info below.
- Recess Reteaches: As the warmer weather comes back, we see the expected rise in adverse playground behaviors. Let's all be sure we are following our systems by monitoring the entire playground, reinforcing appropriate playground behavior in the classrooms and playground and conducting 30-second interventions and reteaches, notifying classroom teachers of reteaches, notifying me of possible major behaviors, contacting parents when necessary, and conducting Recess Reteach protocols when warranted.
- Student and Staff Survey: "You get a survey, you get a survey... Everyone gets a survey!" This coming Tuesday, March 17th, BPS will send out information on the official BPS Staff and Student Survey. This SHOULD be the last district/state level survey of the year...
- Need a Break?: This applies to ALL staff! A standing reminder to give the office a call when you need a 5-10 minute break for a bathroom break, water break, make a phone call, hide in a closet, etc. No questions asked!
