Wildwood Weekly News

Principal Message
This week we ended with a trip to Grand Trunk High School for their Remembrance Day Ceremony. I would like to thank Principal Mrs. Zadderey and Mr. Watt for organizing a wonderful ceremony and all of those who participated.
I also want to thank School Council for pancake breakfast this week, and Brightwood ranch for their continued sponsorship of a weekly hot breakfast and lunch program.
November 7th is a PD day in which staff will be digging into school data and working on our School Continuous Improvement Plan. Our current school focus is on Math mastery, and last year's data shows that the majority of our students grew more than a full year in their math skills. Our current SCIP is on the school website and will be updated in the coming weeks.
Chimes & Choir. I wanted to provide a brief update on these extra curriculars. Assuming we have enough student interest Chimes will continue on Tuesdays at lunch working towards their Christmas concert performance. Choir has been postponed until after Christmas and will be focused on Spring Tea this year.
All ISPs and checklists are have been reviewed and updated and staff will be contacting you following the fall break.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out by calling the school at 780-325-3858 or emailing me at alanstoy@gypsd.ca

On Tuesday we enjoyed hot breakfast from PAC!
We worked on our number 3 and counting to 10. Our craft was a 1-10 Rainbow Jellyfish!!
Thursday we were grateful for another hot breakfast, this time from Brightwood Ranch!
Our morning craft was coloring our poppies! We then joined all of Wildwood school going to GrandTrunk for the Remembrance Day Ceremony. Our JK class did AMAZING on the trip and they loved the bus ride... although little Jack took a snooze on the way back haha.
Have a great weekend and fall break!
See you back on Thursday November 13th, 2025.

FOPLS
Our students from Evansview, Wildwood, and Grand Trunk High School are coming together under one roof — and we want to make sure they have a playground that brings them together too!
The Friends of Pembina Learning Society (FOPLS) is running a raffle fundraiser to help create a fun, safe, and engaging space where kids can play, grow, and make memories for years to come.
Your support will help make this playground a place our children are proud to call their own!
