2nd Quarter is a Go!

Thank you to everyone that made it in for Parent Teacher Conferences. We always love sharing with you how your children are doing and value so very much the home and school relationship. We know there was a plethora of information shared and data discussed. We appreciate your time and patience as some of you had longer than planned wait times.

I've said my entire career the first quarter is like a practice run. We spend those nine weeks getting to know our learners, establish a community and routines and the real deal begins in second quarter. As we enter this second quarter (the fastest one of the year) please support our efforts by discussing bus expectations, the importance of GRIT and productive struggle in the classroom, appropriate school, and Boys and Girls Club behavior.

Halloween Parade and Parties on Friday. Please send your child's costumes to school with them on Friday (they are not to wear them to school). No weapons are permitted with costumes. We will be ready to begin the parade at 2:00 sharp with classroom parties immediately following. Lots of fun coming up this week. PTO's annual Trunk or Treat is Friday evening as well as the Smithton's Got Talent show. Saturday is the annual FBLA Fall Festival. All are such fun events for the entire community and we hope to see you there!

The lost and found is filling up! Feel free to stop in and take a look at what has been collected thus far. We will clean this up and donate it before long so if your kiddo is missing something be sure to touch base.

PICTURE RETAKES THIS THURSDAY

Retake Picture Day is coming up on:

If you're satisfied with your child's picture, no further action is required.

If you purchased and were unhappy with your Picture Package, please send your Picture Package to school with your student on Retake Day. Your Retake Picture Package will be produced and shipped to the school four weeks after Retake Day. Please note, if your child is photographed on the original and Retake Picture Days, the Retake picture will replace the original picture in certain products, like the yearbook.
