Dear HP Community,

Like it or not, it's Mother's Day. Whether you are embracing joy or grief or both or neither on this Sunday evening, know that all your feelings are valid and we see you!

That said, we are almost to the finish line, HP! Last week was so fun celebrating the end of our HP elementary PALS meetings on Wednesday, cheering on Lynn Tellechea as the WINNER of AISD Support Staff of the YEAR, honoring our dedicated volunteers, AND watching Scotties give it their best at Olympics!

This week is SUPER packed for HP Counselors. Mrs Land will teach most of our monthly counselor lessons while Ms Lozo will teach the Human Sexuality and Responsibility OPT-OUT lessons for 3rd-5th grade. Our McCallum PALS will make their last visit on Monday May 11. If your child has a Mac Pal, please encourage them to make a homemade card and bring it on Monday to give their pal.

Last but not least, please take time to note some of the items below regarding next year's SCHOOL SUPPLY FEES, SCOTTIE SUPPORT FORM, and SUMMER RESOURCES!

🐾 Scout & Dolly Are Ready to Make a Difference!

Scout and Dolly have officially passed their therapy dog test through Texas State’s Animal Assisted Academy Program and will begin serving at Highland Park this fall!

They also earned their Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certification. These two bring so much love, comfort, and joy wherever they go, and we are so excited for the support they will provide to our students and staff. We know our HP family will love them!

Thinking you must 'order' or find school supply lists for next year? THINK AGAIN!!

HP has moved to "BULK" ordering school supplies for ALL grade levels. This means families DO NOT need to hunt for specific items from a list or 'PRE-ORDER' a grade-level kit. All you need to do is pay a flat amount per child enrolled at HP for their supplies. If you have a financial hardship, please complete the 26-27 SCOTTIE SUPPORT FORM and make sure to check the school supplies box!
