Proviso West Newsletter

Back-to-School Night at Proviso West was held on Thursday, September 11. This event gave parents the opportunity to meet their student’s teachers, counselors, and administrators while learning more about the curriculum and asking general questions. Families also enjoyed touring the building and becoming more familiar with the school environment. As a reminder, first period begins at 8:00 AM sharp, and students should arrive at least 15 minutes early to ensure they are on time for class. Parents are encouraged to use the PowerSchool app to stay updated on their student’s progress and to look out for upcoming Proviso West and district events such as the AP/Dual Credit Information Night, Bring Your Parent to School Day, PAC meetings, and the Title I Parent Meeting. La Noche de Regreso a Clases en Proviso West se llevó a cabo el jueves 11 de septiembre. Students at Proviso West have been busy with extracurricular activities and athletics. From competing on the fields to playing on the golf course and beyond, our Panthers are showing their school spirit and commitment. Joining a sports team or activity is a great way to get involved, build friendships, and develop lifelong skills that will be valuable in the future. A full list of fall sports is available, and parents or students can contact the coach directly for additional information.
