Hi Austin Families,

Thank you for showing up and showing out for our Fall Festival! Your support made it such a joyful, community-building night. A huge shout-out to our amazing PTO Board and every PTO volunteer for the hours of planning and hard work behind the scenes—and to our teachers and staff for donating their time, creating those wonderful class projects, and bringing such fun, positive energy. We’re grateful for each of you.

We also had a special surprise on Friday—our new Superintendent, Dr. Vinson, stopped by early in the morning to visit with students in the cafeteria and hallways. It was a great way to kick off the day!

This week is Red Ribbon Week, and we’re encouraging every student to commit to a drug-free life!

Here are our dress-up days:

• Monday: Sock it to Drugs! – Wear crazy socks

• Tuesday: Don’t let drugs find you! – Wear camo

• Wednesday: Team up against drugs! – Twin Day

• Thursday: Panthers against drugs! – Wear school colors

• Friday: Storybook Parade! – Dress as your favorite storybook character

Finally, get those lawn chairs ready and join us on Friday for our Storybook Parade! Bring your camera, grab a good viewing spot, and cheer on our readers and characters as they march by. We can’t wait to celebrate together!

We are changing the parade route! We want you to be able to see more of your students so we are taking this parade outdoors. Feel free to bring lawn chairs. We will start the parade inside at 9:30AM. It will take several minutes for us to work our way to the parent viewing areas. Please be patient!

We strongly encourage you to leave your students at school for the rest of the school day because we have lots of work to do. However, if you choose to check your student out, there will be a line at the front office for you to do so. Be prepared to wait as this line may be long. We will not start check out until the parade is over and all students are back in class.
