March - Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month
March is Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month, a time to recognize the contributions and rights of individuals with developmental disabilities. In Thompson School District, our Exceptional Student Services and Unified Programs support and foster meaningful inclusion and collaboration between students of all abilities, creating a culture of belonging within our schools. Families of students with disabilities are invited to be members of the Special Education Advisory Committee.
As members of the TSD community, we can honor this month by building awareness, implementing inclusive teaching strategies, and celebrating the strengths of all learners. Letโs continue to build an environment where all students feel valued, supported, and empowered to thrive.

TSD Superintendent Search Survey
Dear Thompson School District Stakeholders: As you may know, the Thompson School District Board of Education has begun searching for our next Superintendent of Schools to follow Dr. Schaffer when he leaves us at the end of the current school year. The Board has hired McPherson & Jacobson, a national school superintendent search firm, to assist us in finding the most qualified candidates available. As part of this important work, the Board has asked our search consultants to gather information and comments from stakeholders. So we would very much appreciate it if you would take just a couple of minutes to answer a few questions through an anonymous online survey. The survey will remain open through March 12, 2025. You can access the superintendent search survey by clicking this link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/N89HPZH
