Class of 2026 Video Ideas: Please Submit by Tuesday September 9th

As the Class of 2026 approaches graduation, we’re celebrating a major milestone—being the first 4 year class to graduate from Seckinger High School. To celebrate this achievement, our AVTF students are creating a video that highlights the school’s progress and the growth of our school and current senior class over the past four years.

We’d love to hear from you! Please share any ideas or suggestions on what you think should be included in the video to showcase our school’s journey and display to the public how far we have come. We want to ensure everyone's voice is heard, so we welcome input from everyone.

Your thoughts and ideas would be greatly appreciated.

September is Attendance Awareness Month!

Did you know that missing just two days a month can add up to chronic absenteeism?

This September, we’re spotlighting the importance of showing up—because every day counts. Families and students are encouraged to stay engaged, reach out for support, and make attendance a priority.

If your student is struggling with attendance, please contact their counselor or administrator for assistance.

Reminders for Maxwell/Grayson/GSMST/Dual Enrollment/ and Work-Based Learning Students (previously posted)

  • Students must enter/exit through the attendance office.
  • Your student should have received an ID pass (hole punched for easy use with a lanyard) and neon green lanyard that will be used to help identify when students arrive and exit campus each day through the attendance office.
  • Students must wear their lanyard around their neck with ID visible when entering and exiting the building. This applies to Grayson/Maxwell/GSMST/Dual Enrollment and Work-Based Learning Students.
  • All Work-Based Learning students must sign in and sign out in the admin office located in T326.
  • Dual Enrollment students that arrive early to campus before their scheduled classes must report to room T318. Early students may not report to the media center.
  • All students entering the building must enter through the back of the school next to the attendance office and go through the Evolv Weapons Detection system.
  • There are several days during the year when we will be on block schedule or activity days. Maxwell/Grayson students returning to campus will still eat lunch upon their return.
  • Seniors - please be sure to review the SKG Seniors Instragram page (#SKG Seniors) and our SKG website for all pertinent information on senior events. If you plan to attend one of these events, you'll want to be sure to notify the Maxwell/Grayson/GSMST attendance office as well as the SKG Attendance Office to update your attendance.

Reminders from the AP Office (previously posted)

  • We will offer an Optional Virtual AP Exam FAQ meeting for any parents that have questions about how/when to register for AP exams. These meetings will take place virtually at 6:00 PM on September 17 and September 24 (links will be sent at a later date). Again, this meeting is optional for any parent who wishes to ask questions about the AP exam process prior to the registration window opening.

  • The AP Exam Registration window for year-long AP courses opens in www.MyPaymentsPlus.com on Friday, September 26, and closes on Sunday, November 9 at 11:59 PM. All AP exams are $99; there is a one-time, non-refundable $15 registration fee applied for exam registration. There is a $40 late fee charged for any year-long exam registrations after the deadline. We strongly encourage all students to register for AP exams in each course! See links to tutorials on how to register below.
    • MyPaymentPlus.com Parent Handout
    • MyPaymentPlus Tutorial Video
  • Please review the SY 25-26 AP Course Catalog for pertinent information for all AP courses offered at Seckinger High School.
  • SY 25-26 AP Exam Schedule - We will send out additional AP exam information at a later date. If a student has a conflict by taking more than one exam at the same time, the AP Coordinator will speak to the student about using the late exam testing window to resolve the conflict.
  • Be sure to visit the SKG Advanced Placement website for monthly AP student awards, links to The College Board, informational videos, and other pertinent AP information.
  • 8th Period AP Fair - We will have an AP Fair for students only during 8th period on Thursday, January 22, 2026. This will allow for all SKG students to speak to teachers and current students in the AP courses offered at SKG prior to registering for courses for the 2025-2026 School Year.
