The Weddington High School PTSO is raising $5,000 towards upgrading our auditorium sound system. This space hosts dozens of events each year—from Signing Day and athletic banquets to theater productions and the Talent Show. Our auditorium is the heart of our school and our current sound system is struggling to keep up with our impressive WHS talent. An upgraded sound system will improve the experience for students, families, teachers, and guests at every event held in the auditorium. We invite you to help support this important project. SAT and ACT online classes preparing for the May 2nd and June 6th SAT and the June/July ACT administrations. The tuition price for each class includes a course book, two proctored Practice Test sessions, and (6) 3-hour lessons delivered live on Zoom. In the event your child is absent from school due to illness/injury, please upload your documentation to the Student Absence Portal. The proper documentation MUST be provided in order to excuse the absence. A phone call to the school, stating your student is absent, is not necessary. Remember, parent notes will only be accepted during the current 6-week grading period, of the absent day.

WHS PTSO Staff Appreciation

Weddington High School's Class of 2026 Commencement will be held on Monday, June 8th at 8:00am at Warrior Stadium. Additional details regarding graduation, including the process for claiming tickets, will be shared with seniors and their parents in late April.

All visitors to the school must enter through the front doors of the school using the video doorbell system. All visitors must check in at the main office during the hours of 7:30 am and 4:00 pm, which are the main office hours on days that school is in session.

Forgotten Items/Drop Offs/Deliveries:

• items can be placed on the drop-off cart located outside the front doors
• items will be brought inside before the end of each block and placed on the table in the foyer
• please notify your student that their item has been dropped off - WE WILL NOT CALL STUDENTS OUT OF CLASS TO RETRIEVE ITEMS
• students can retrieve items in between class periods ONLY - they will not be permitted to go outside
• lunches can be placed inside the bin, and will be brought in before the end of each block and before the start of each lunch period
• PLEASE NOTE: items such as Chromebooks, phones, headphones, ear buds, etc., should NOT be left on the cart outside, and should be brought inside to the drop-off table

All UCPS families will be responsible for paying a $30 annual technology user fee per student. The technology fee will be waived for students who qualify for free lunch. If you haven't paid your student's 2025-2026 technology fee, please scan the QR code below.
