Wentzville School District leaders are taking a step toward the District’s top strategic priority – improving academic achievement – by adjusting school schedules for the next school year. At the district level, monthly Late Start Mondays will be replaced with monthly All-District Early Release Wednesdays. At the middle and high (secondary) school level, in addition to the monthly All-District Early Release Wednesdays, the District will introduce weekly Secondary Early Release Wednesdays on full school weeks.

With these schedule changes approved by the Board of Education at the January Board meeting, the 2026-27 Academic Calendar is expected to be presented at the February Board meeting.

Credit recovery courses will be offered fully virtual or through an e-learning credit recovery courses in person with WSD e-learning teacher support, and allow students to recover classes they failed so they can take the next class during the next school year.

On April 17, the Industrial Technology programs from all four WSD high schools will partner with Sleep in Heavenly Peace for the 5th annual Bed Build to help ensure every child in our community has a bed of their own. Over the past four years, this partnership has resulted in more than 130 beds being built and donated to local families.

This year, we are seeking support from groups, clubs, parents, and community members willing to sponsor a bed. The estimated cost is $50 per bed, with a district-wide goal of $2,500. Timberland High School’s goal is to sponsor 15 beds, totaling $750.

If you are interested in sponsoring a bed or learning more, please contact Timberland Industrial Technology teacher Mr. Richard Brown at richardbrown@wsdr4.org. Your support helps make a meaningful difference for children in our community.
