Low Ash Primary
Weekly round up - 2.5.25
We've made full use of the extensive school grounds this week with the lovely weather. Let's hope it continues for the rest of the term!
Stars of the Week
EYFS & KS1 Stars of the Week
KS2 Stars of the Week
Attendance
This week's school attendance is 96.7 %.
Whole school attendance so far this year is 95.1 %.
Early Years/Key Stage 1 class of the week is Reception Base 2 with 98.7% attendance!
Key Stage 2 class of the week is 6CLG with 99.3% attendance - well done!
Once more, here is the link to the attendance page of the school website which has information on the Penalty Notice system. Ultimately, more than 2 penalty notices could result in the council taking you to court and a criminal record. We really do not want any of our families to have to go through this.

Civil Engineer visit
This week, a parent of one of our pupils came to school to talk to Reception about her job as a civil engineer for Yorkshire Water. She talked to us about how toilets have changed over the years and about the job that all the pipes do under the ground. This linked really nicely with the Skipton Castle visit where we saw a 'long drop'!
Reception Skipton Castle Trip
Reception had a fantastic time at Skipton Castle this week and what wonderful weather for their trip!
Thursday 8th May celebrations
In honour of the 80th anniversary of VE Day, pupils can come to school wearing red, white and blue on Thursday of next week. We will also be holding assemblies on the subject. As part of the celebrations, EYFS will be doing their annual May Day Parade on Thursday too. This is always a fantastic event.!
Family Breakfast
We are very excited about the Family Breakfast on 20th May. Due to the popularity of the event, we have no further places left on this half term's Family Breakfast but we will look to put on another date next half term.
Year 2 Bun Sale
Thank you to everyone who supported the Year 2 bun sale today! The Year 2s worked really hard to prepare for this. We don't know how much money was made yet but we will keep you informed!
School fundraising - pupil sponsored walk and staff challenge
A reminder about the children's sponsored walk which will take place at school, week commencing 19th May. We know the children continue to be excited about this event and we are looking forward to it too.
As stated last week, the children's sponsored event will go alongside the staff challenge of the Yorkshire 3 Peaks taking place on 17th May. We've now raised over £1.000 for school which is fantastic. Any further donations would be really appreciated and a big thank you to those who have already donated.

Online Safety - phone settings
We all do our best to stay on top of screen time, apps, and check-ins and it can feel never ending! But did you know your child’s phone has powerful safety features built right in—most of which aren’t turned on by default? No? Don't worry - most parents are unaware of these features! These simple settings can help offer a bit more peace of mind and protection—whether your child is walking to school, out with friends, spending time online, or in an emergency. Click on the link below for more information.
We hope you all have a good weekend and we will see you on Tuesday (don't forget Monday is a Bank Holiday!)
