Get Ready! The Westgate PTA will be hosting the SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR in the Westgate LMC during Parent Teacher Conferences on Monday, February 16th. Be sure to swing by and stock up on new books! And - as always - every purchase at the Book Fair benefits the Westgate PTA.

Students will preview the Book Fair with their classes on February 13th (no purchases during the preview), and families can shop during Parent-Teacher Conferences on February 16th between 8:00 a.m. -3:45 p.m. and online between February 11th-24th.

5Essentials

🚨NEED 20% Parent Participation by March 13!

We are asking our parents to please participate in the 5Essentials Survey:

🚨 Please note: A parent supplement report will only be generated if at least 20 percent of a school’s parents complete the survey. Our response rate is below. The survey closes on March 13.

Your participation in the parent portion of the survey will help us understand the conditions at your child’s school and guide improvement. Your identity and survey responses will be kept completely confidential and will never be connected to you or your child.

We know that some of our families observe Ramadan and students may be fasting during the day, making lunch an uncomfortable time for them. If your student is fasting and their lunch is at 12:30 or 1:00, then they are welcome to spend that time in room 217. Please let us know if they would like this alternative location during the lunch part of recess.

IAR testing begins on Wednesday, March 4th and runs through March 19th for all 3rd-5th graders. Students take two ELA and three Math tests within this time frame. Fifth graders will also take three Illinois Science Assessments that will take place on Monday, March 2nd and Friday, March 6th. For specific testing days, please reach out to your child's classroom teacher.

Join the ABC/25 Foundation for our annual family-friendly event ABC/25 Fore Education Fundraiser at Topgolf Schaumburg on Sunday, March 15, 2026, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM!

What You Can Expect:

• Your Bay ticket includes 3 hours of golf, appetizers, non-alcoholic drinks (cash bar available), access to an in-person-only raffle giveaway, a DJ, and freebies from local businesses!
• Spectator tickets include all of the same perks minus the golf.
• Our silent auction and raffle will be online! Winners do not have to be present to win.

The ABC/25 Foundation is 100% volunteer-run, so 100% of your purchase goes back into AHSD25 classrooms!
