Mrs. Phillips is our new Spanish Teacher! She retired from Alva Public Schools after 24 years of teaching- 22 as an ELA teacher and 2 years as an English Language Learner teacher.

Students may sign up in the middle school (if they haven't signed up at the Back to School Bash or on the Falcon Flyer).

Tuesdays from 3:15-4:20pm in the music room. Students will be picked up in FRONT of the school, rather than thru aftercare, unless your child is enrolled and going to aftercare.

For those who don’t know, every year Mr. Noble brings together our Catholic school choirs to sing the National Anthem. For the past few years, we’ve sung at a baseball game in Bricktown (formerly Dodgers), on a Sunday afternoon.

This year, we’ll be singing on Friday, September, 6 at 7:05 pm (Anthem @ 6:55 pm). (Singers call time TBA.)

Tickets are $15, and EVERYONE (including singers) will need a ticket. Please sign up through the front office and let Ms. Emily know if you will be attending.

Mr. Noble will bring tickets to you and rehearse with your students at an agreed-upon time. Your school should have a check made out to St. John Nepomuk Catholic School for the dollar amount of your tickets.

Collectively, we have to sell at least 300 tickets. Seats will be in the lower deck behind 3rd base/home dugout.

There should be at least one parent/trusted adult for each student; students are not to be dropped off and left without a parent/trusted adult.

Students are not required to stay for all or any of the game.

Attire: jeans and your school’s spirit shirt/t-shirt.

Every family must sign our handbook by August 21st.

List of changes:

• Boys hair must be off the collar (sorry, I might be ruining some really cool hairstyles). 😀 Please don't stress if your kiddo needs a haircut. Just try to get it cut by early September.
• No artificial nails or nail coatings. Nail polish must be a subdued color.
• Testing: K-2 will now be STAR for formative testing; 3-8 will be MAP Testing for formative testing; K-8 summative test (end of year) for K-8 will be Terra Nova.
• Tuition changes have been updated (using FACTS and months August-Dec; January-May)
• Students must be in classrooms by 8am or they are tardy.
• Uniforms (same for the entire school K-8)
• Jewelry: no wrist or ankle bracelets; necklaces must be religious (ex. crucifix)
• Tobacco: now lists the use of vapes
