Honor Differences & Care for Others”
WISHING YOU A WONDERFUL THANKSGIVING
Several grade levels got creative with turkeys this week. They disguised their feathered friends so they could escape the holiday unscathed. Students wrote creative pieces describing their turkey's new identity and hobbies. See a few of their great examples above.
We wish your family a wonderful Thanksgiving!
We hope you enjoy the time with your friends and family.
ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE
This week students in all grade levels reflected on what they are grateful for. Students identified people, places and things that make their lives rich and full. Students identified the importance of their family, friends and pets. They also appreciated their home and school. Some even noted how their health and food enrich their lives.
Gold Rush staff are grateful for the partnership that exists with our parent community. We value your ongoing support and trust. This is evident in all the ways you continue your child's learning at home. We also appreciate your support with the passing of 5A.
Thank you for being a part of the Gold Rush family!
A SUCCESSFUL FALL BOOK FAIR
We thank Mrs. Golish and our many parent volunteers for a successful fall book fair. Students enjoyed getting new titles and old favorites. We appreciate everyone that made this event possible!
TOOLS FOR SUPPORTING READING AT HOME
Research shows that time spent reading at home has a direct impact on students' academic achievement. Even five minutes a day can increase students' vocabulary significantly.
Below are two parent resources that provide tips for working with your child at home. Many of the recommended strategies are done in the classroom. We appreciate your partnership as we increase students' stamina and love of reading.
OPEN ENROLLMENT & K REGISTRATION FOR 2024-2025
