The Importance of Testing: Encouraging Our Students to Give Their Best
Dear Franklin Families,
As we near the end of our first round of testing this school year, I want to take a moment to remind our families of the importance of testing at Franklin Academy. Assessments are not just about scores—they are opportunities for our students to demonstrate their learning, measure their growth, and reflect on the skills they are developing each day.
For our students to be successful, it is essential that they approach testing with focus, effort, and respect for the testing environment. Every student deserves a quiet, distraction-free space where they can concentrate and perform at their best.
Parents play a vital role in reinforcing this message. By encouraging your child to take testing seriously—arriving on time, being prepared, and maintaining a positive attitude—you help them build the mindset and discipline that lead to long-term success.
Together, let’s continue to promote the importance of effort, integrity, and respect during testing. These habits will serve our students well, not only in school, but in every aspect of their future.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support in helping our students reach their full potential!
Sincerely,
Sergio Delgado, your proud principal

🔔 ESOL Program Updates & Compliance Reminders
Dear Families,
We’re so excited to partner with you in supporting your child through our ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) program!
📚 What is the ESOL Program?
The ESOL program is designed to support students who are learning English as an additional language. We help students grow in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding English, all while celebrating and honoring their home languages and cultures.
👩🏫 How Do We Support Your Child?
Your child receives personalized support in several ways, including:
Small group instruction in English
In-class support from trained teachers
Access to Imagine Learning, an online program with fun, interactive English practice
Regular progress checks and annual assessments
💻 Imagine Learning
Imagine Learning is a powerful online tool that helps students strengthen their English skills through games, activities, and personalized lessons.
All new ESOL students received a QR code login and a welcome letter from Mr. Marcos.
✅ Students should complete 3 sessions per week, each lasting about 20 minutes.
Your support at home is so important, please help your child set aside time each week to log in and complete their sessions. Your involvement makes a BIG difference!
📄 Important Updates for Families
New to ESOL? You’ll soon receive an Initial Parent Notification letter with more details about the program.
