J.A. Taylor Elementary
Mission:
We Learn, We Grow, We Shine!
Vision:
We belong, we believe, we become! We are kind, curious, and ready to learn.
We know our strengths, learn from challenges, and use our
voice to help ourselves and others grow.
Thank You, Taylor Families!
Thank you to all of our parents and families who attended Parent Teacher Conferences and took the time to celebrate your studentβs success. We appreciate your partnership and support!
We also want to give a big thank you to everyone who supported and volunteered at our Book Fair. We want every student to read, and the Book Fair is a great way to help get books into our studentsβ hands.
A special thank you to our PTA and everyone who helped provide a yummy dinner for our teachers on Wednesday night. Your support helped keep our teachers fueled and ready to meet with students and families throughout Parent Teacher Conferences.
We appreciate our Taylor community and all you do to support our students and staff!
Mustangs Gallop Together!
Soup with the Supt.
Congratulations, Audrey!
Audrey was selected to represent Taylor Elementary at a special lunch with the Superintendent of Davis School District. This is a high honor, as each school gets to select only one student each year to represent their school.
Audrey was chosen because she has the biggest heart and consistently goes out of her way to include others. She is incredibly thoughtful and has been seen many times at recess being a kind and caring friend. Audrey makes a special effort to include anyone who may need a friend, helping everyone feel welcomed, valued, and included.
Audrey is warm, friendly, and genuinely cares about others. Her kindness makes a difference at Taylor Elementary, and we are so proud to have her represent our school!
Congratulations, Audrey! We are so proud of you!

A Friendly Reminder About Animals on School Property
We love our studentsβ furry and four-legged friends! However, we want to remind families that personally owned animals are not permitted on Davis School District property, including school grounds, sidewalks, and areas used for student drop-off and pick-up.
This policy helps us maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all of our students and staff. Some members of our school community have animal allergies, fears or anxiety around animals, or other health and safety concerns.
As outlined in Davis School District policy, other than service animals as defined by the policy, personally owned animals are not permitted at District facilities except for pre-approved educational purposes.
We appreciate your help in keeping our school a safe and comfortable place for everyone. Please leave pets at home when coming to school or picking up your student.
Thank you for your understanding and for helping us take care of every Mustang!
Mustang Safety Reminder: After-School Walking Groups
π§ ROAD CLOSURE & STUDENT SAFETY
The road closure on 400 East will be closed to traffic. However, it will be open for students to cross at the designated crossing.
A crossing guard will be stationed at 400 East and 900 South to help students safely cross the road.
Please remind your students that this is an active construction area. For their safety, students should:
- Stay on the sidewalks.
- Stay away from construction areas and equipment.
- Wait for the crossing guard before crossing.
- Follow all directions from the crossing guard.
Thank you for helping us keep our Mustangs safe! π΄
